Worried about what DS will wear to dinner.

We have decided not to go to formal night. DH hates to dress up.
Thats fine with me. Great time to enjoy room service on our verandah.

However, Want us all to look great for every other night.

DS has maybe two pair of pants that will pass with the right shirt.

DS is 7 want him to have dinner with us not the oceaneer club.

What do other overwieght kids wear?

Thanks for any help. Going in 30 days can't wait.

did you try Gap, Old Navy or Sears (all online?). A lot carry Slims so I bet they carry Husky too.

For my 6 year old, I'm taking only two pairs of pants. He'll wear his tux (bought on Ebay) for formal/semi-formal and the navy pants for 2-3 other dinners. On Tropical night he does nice shorts (dress code violater here, but for Pete's sake he's 6 and sitting down at dinner) and then they usually do the club one or two other nights.

I only took two pair of dress pants with me for a 7 day cruise. I took one black pair and one navy blue pair, and took 7 nice dress shirts, one sport coat, and three different Mickey ties. As long as you can get a couple of shirts to go with each pair of pants, you should be fine.

I wore shorts on Tropical night to dinner. We were told that shorts would be fine by the dining manager. There was "NO" heading on our Navigator about not wearing shorts on Tropical night. There were "MANY" men wearing shorts that night to dinner.

excellent news - both DS and DH did last year as well and did not feel out of place at all. We plan on a great beach day on Tuesday and the last thing we'll want is to get dressed up for dinner. I really think Tropical night is a great mid-cruise chance to relax a bit!

JC Penney also has Husky, and you can get them online.
My son only had 2 pr of pants also, just different shirts. He also got by with casual pants that he wears to school. He still looked better than an awful lot of people who didn't seem to know there was a dress code!

DS11 has been wearing casual pants (elastic waist) for most of his life. He's been in a size 14/16 for a few years. They are long so bottoms get cuffed up.
I'll be packing at least 3pairs for him for our 11/8 cruise. He also has dress shorts w/elastic waist. Bring along a collar/button shirt for each night. Formal/semi-formal, tropical night he'll be wearing dress shirts.

(DH has 2 pairs dress shorts w/elastic waist also. I just recently got rid of elastic waists as they tended to let me expand too much.)

I also have a husky DS. I get his pants at Landsend.com. They have an elastic waist. I bought a pair of navy blue and a pair of kahki (sp). Then a nice shirt. I think each pair of pants was $25.00. He still wears them when we go out somewhere that is a little dressier than McDonalds.

Many of the public schools in my area require hte kids to wear uniforms. Most of the stores carry French Toast. They have boys husky sizes. Their prices are low and the clothes hold up pretty well.

When DS and I take our cruise, I plan to buy several French Toast items.

Ds and us love elastic waist 14h.

Where do you get them? every thing I find is size 7 and below.

DS has Dickies 14h blow out crotch inseam (fixed it) and when taking off rip out eye hook,(he is strong too) however 16h are to big in the inseam. It is a struggle.

We are working on his wieght, since DH and me are not the same way. He is builted like his grandfather, Dr. states watch his weight ,however with his builted he is OK.

Try a pair of Dockers usually good selection at JCPenney. I think Gap would be a great place they carry slim, regular, and loose fit.

Good luck!

The thing I like about a cruise is the ability to dress up and look nice. My everyday life is casual. Cruises give me the ability to "LIVE IT UP" at least for awhile. DCL has been one of the most casual of all the cruise lines we have traveled with. We felt a little overdressed at times, but I was Ok with that.

Have fun!

although I dont not know the age of the husky male you are seeking pants for, I suggest www.kingsizedirect.com they have an excellant line of clothes, all in the large and larger sizes and are not expensive. I hope this helps.
