Need help w/ white vinyl backdrop

Do any of the photographers out there use a white vinyl backdrop? We have one in our studio from Denny. But the problem is that it has been stepped on and it has creases in it!!! If I do a really high key lighting then you can't see it. But in normal lighting, it shows up and I have to edit the creases out. How do I get rid of this? Can I put a towel over it and iron it on a low setting? Any help would be appreciated!!!
