Regular hours posted on Disney's site are 9am - 8pm with Spectro at 7 and Wishes at 8 pm. I did not see EMH posted here but found them on Intercot and the DIS that list the MK as having evening EMH this night.

Can I bet on this information being valid?

And does this mean that the EMH begin at 8 and go until 11 pm? How long does it take the park to clear out of all the non-Disney resort guests? How crowded is the MK during these evenings? This will be our 1st day at DW and we were hoping to see a lot of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland with our 6 and 2 year old. This will be their first Disney trip and I want it to be special.

During the evening EMH are their additional parades or fireworks after the normal park closing?

Anybody that can help, I would so appreciate it.

Jackie

A few things...historically Wed is a EMH day, so it will 'most likely' stay that way. But, the park never clears out. In fact, those without wristbands don't 'technically' have to leave. They just can't access any of the attractions. MK is usually a zoo on those EMH nights. You might be better off just skipping it and going to MK in the morning. Usually the park is much less crowded in the morning after an evening EMH. As far as addtl. parades..not usually. Fireworks I'm not absolutely sure, but I don't remember them being there but I could be confusing my nights!!!

So, with Nov 30 being your travel day, and with such young ones, I would be very tempted to wait until the following morning.

I totally agree with goofy4tink. The Magic Kingdom is MUCH quieter first thing in the morning than any evening EMH. In June my DS and I went to the MK on a Thursday morning and Saturday morning. I don't think either was a morning EMH but we were there before park opening. After so many trips we finally got to see the opening show at the MK....quite nice. On Thursday we got to see Mickey's Philaharmagic with about six other people. After that we went over to Frontierland and it was really quiet. Kind of odd seeing so few people. We got to ride everything with no wait. On Saturday morning we were again early. This time we went over to Tomorrowland first. What a difference! Much more crowded. Space Mtn was having problems so we grabbed FP for later and went on Buzz a few times. Then we went to Splash and Big Thunder. Again this area, as well as Fantasyland, was very quiet. You can do much more in a few early morning hours at the MK (and all of the parks) than you can do during an evening EMH.

Can I bet on this information being valid? No, you shouldn't bet on it. It will probably be an EMH night but that is subject to change at any time and Disney has not posted the official EMH's yet.

And does this mean that the EMH begin at 8 and go until 11 pm? More than likely, yes.

How long does it take the park to clear out of all the non-Disney resort guests? Most of them leave after the fireworks but they don't force them to leave, just deny them the attractions

l How crowded is the MK during these evenings? We were there a few weeks ago and we did the opposite side of the park and it was EMPTY! But from what we heard fantasyland and tomorrowland was packed and waits were in the 45 minute range.

This will be our 1st day at DW and we were hoping to see a lot of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland with our 6 and 2 year old. This will be their first Disney trip and I want it to be special. For this I would just get them to bed early and plan on doing the probable morning emh that friday. Much more productive. We always get fantasyland and tomorrowland done in that morning hour plus a few of our favorites multiple times. If you'd like a plan of attack that always works for us in the morning, I'll be glad to PM it to you.

During the evening EMH are their additional parades or fireworks after the normal park closing? No.

not to muddy the waters.....but we went this past April...last week. It wasn't Easter, it wasn't spring break. We opted to skip EMH on Wed night at MK and go Thursday morning instead....what a zoo!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2: I can't imagine who was there Wed night....as the whole world seemed to be there Thurs morning. :rotfl: We were there before opening...did the dash to Fantasyland. First few rides were fine....but the crowd level was quite high by 10am and by 11am you would have thought it was mid afternoon. (By this time we were in Fronteirland.

SO......doing EMH....avoiding EMH....the tides seem to ebb and flow on this one. Some say evening EMH is the best thing....others swear by Thursday mornings or even Sat mornings. I don't know. We have young children too and tend to avoid late EMH....but our last experience on Thursday morning is enough to make me rethink this for our Dec trip!! :confused3

Is Thursday the day between MK evening EMH (Wed eve) and EMH morning (Friday morn)? That's the way it was when I went on a Thursday. It was a perfect day to go to MK if you want to avoid crowds.

Thank you all for your comments. I am tempted to skip it however I really want to see Spectromagic and I'm not sure what other nights we will get a chance since the MVMCP is running a few times this week. Hopefully the December hours will be posted in a few weeks so I can make my final decisions.

I guess we could always give it a try and if it is too crazy, head over to Epcot or just relax at the Poly (our 1st time there ).

Disney 1derland, please PM me your plan of attack. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks again so much!!!!

Jackie,

I am also waiting for EMH for Nov. 30th to be posted. We arrive on 11/29. We are planning on exploring resorts in the morning, then heading over to MK at around 3:00, doing Adventureland, ADR for Crystal Palace at 5:30, then watching Spectro and doing some of Fantasyland during Wishes.

Hopefully, if it's EMH, we will get to do a lot more.

Maybe we'll see you there! I will have lime-green Mickey heads on my camera bag (they are the "sign" of a DIS member).

It'll just be me and dd 4. I always look for lime-green Mickey heads, but have yet to see anyone with one on!

We will be there also! :cool1:

Our plan of "attack" w/ dd (just turning 4) is to go see Spectro & Wishes - the only other time to see this during our trip is Sat. night - & I'm afraid that will be even MORE crowded :crowded:

We are hoping to do adventurland & maybe Buzz. We are going back Fri. for early EMH - that first hour is the BEST!!!! We know we will get Fantasyland done during that time. We will then cover whatever we couldn't get done on Wed. If we get nothing done (other then Spectro. & Wishes) it won't be a big deal - we'll just stay a little longer on Fri.

I personally will not touch Fantasyland any time other then first thing in the a.m. 3 yr olds do NOT like waiting in 60 min. lines - even if it is for Peter Pan.

We have an ADR for Crystal Palace at 5:55 - we'll look for you!

How cool is that? I can already tell you that I will be wearing a red short sleeved shirt with the Pooh characters on top near the buttons. I just bought it off eBay specifically to wear that night! I am sure there won't be that many women there alone with one 4 year old dd so I should be easy to spot. Maybe a green Mickey head will have to accompany the shirt so you'll know it's me. :flower:

Hey tjmouse,

We will also be at Crystal Palace that night, but our ADR is for 5:05 pm.

I will look for you. Where do you get the lime green Mickey heads?

I got mine at Home Depot. They have the Mickey head paint chips in the paint department. I felt so bad, I had to buy something just to make it look like that wasn't the only reason I went in there! I know they expect you to take them, but I am sure they see us DISer's and scrapbookers coming a mile away!
