My family will be going to DL iAugust 10 and we have 5 day park hoppers. Oldest daughter will also be going in mid July as part of a bachelorette party.
I was planning to buy her an AP to use for both trips, however she will not get MM with the AP.

I can do without the MM. So I was thinking that I would give her my ticket to use for MM and then she can meet me in the parking lot to get her AP. Will I have problems using my ticket to get in if she has already used it that morning?

Any other ideas?

Thanks.

If you are staying in one of the DLR hotels (PPH, DLH, or GCH), you will get MM just for staying there. Otherwise, they could refuse you entry because the tickets are not transferable to other people.

Just take your ticket and go into California Adventure, If they question you at DCA why your hand isn't stamped from DL, just claim you didn't know you had to since you're not planning on going back to DL. I just got back - not once out of at least 6 times did they ever put my stamped hand under the blacklight...

Then, turn around and leave DCA, get your hand stamped then go into DL.. I don't know how they would know who used the ticket that morning.

Or you can just risk it and come up with a lame excuse as to why you didn't get your hand stamped when "you" left DL earlier...if you're with the rest of your family, they probably won't question you.

My mom didn't get her hand stamped when leaving DCA and going into DL, and she got questioned for an uncomfortable minute, even though she really did NOT know you had to get your hand stamped because she was NOT going back to DCA (we were leaving Disney in about 2 hours), but just going into DL. She was with two brand new AP holders (me and my friend). If she had been alone I honestly don't think the CM would have even let her in, but the CM definitely questioned her and reprimanded her and embarrassed her quite a bit, as much as implying she was a bit stupid, etc.

Maybe the DCA CMs are less strict; I don't know. But I wouldn't bet on getting through without being hassled.

Another alternative is to ask nicely, and they might let your daughter go in with you using her AP. Last year, when DH and I (AP holders) went with my DM, DSis, and DNieces, we stood in line with them at MM and took our chances. We had a plan to meet in fantasy land at official opening just in case they didn't let DH and I in.

When we got to the ticket taker, we just explained that we were all toghether, and could we please come in with our APs, and she smiled real big and said "Everyone Have Fun!" and let us through!

Of course that's up to the person taking your tickets, but since it's just one person, I would say your chances are good that they will let her through. Just remember to be real sweet about it, and bat your eyes when you ask! :flower3:

You can get her the park hopper and upgrade to an AP after the MM. You will get credit for the cost of the park hopper and her AP will have the first day of use of the park hopper as the anniversary date. This way you will all get MM and won't have to beg or cheat to get in.

Won't work since the OP's DD will be going with friends in July, and the family trip isn't until Aug.

I'd try asking nicely at the gate as suggested above; and if the answer is no, maybe you and your DD could have a nice breakfast together in Downtown Disney while the rest of the family does the MM thing.

Personally I wouldn't try the park pass / AP switch. It might go smooth as silk for you, but it also might not; and it's clearly against the rules.

I appreciate the suggestions. Was just hoping to hear that the CMs were flexible. I will practice being sweet and batting my eyes. :flower3:
