Need Help- USA visitor visiting UK in February

and staying at Barnsdale Country Club in Oakham. I do not want to drive. Is it possible to get around utilizing trains and taxi's? Are there any tour companies that visit London or Stonehenge that depart from Oakham? Never been to UK before- any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. (Never been to England before).

Your best bet from Oakham would be the train. You would have to change at Peterborough to get to London.

I'm afraid that there may not be many tours operating in February, and if there was any you would probably have to go to larger towns or cities close by to find them.

It's a nice area around Oakham, especially Rutland Water. But take plenty of warm clothes - February can be a bit nippy!
