Need help understanding "add-ons"

So here's my question:

Our home resort is AKV - we own 260 points.

If at any time in the future we would like to "add on" at another resort, in order to have home resort advantage at more than one resort, is there a minumum number of points needed to get this advantage?

Also - say we add on with 100 points. Could we only use those 100 points for the 11 month reservation window at the "new" home resort? Or could we use the total 360 points? Does this question even make sense?

Hoping a DVC guru can help with this one.

Minimum add-on is 25 points, 50 to finance, and usually 100 to get any discount off regular price that might be available. Points never lose their home resort stripes.If you own 260 at AKV and 100 at BLT, then only the 100 BLT points can be used 11 months out at BLT and only the 260 AKV points can be used 11 months out at AKV. What some do with an add-on at another resort is go to that resort only every 2 to 3 years so they can bank and/or borrow to have more points with which to reserve.
