Well we have a couple of pounds of a cooked unsliced pork roast (maybe a loin cut) left over from new years day. Its been sitting in the fridge and I was hoping to figure out a way to turn this into pulled pork type sandwiches maybe via crock pot or another method. Any ideas?

I would pull the meat apart and add BBQ sauce and water and just cook it either on the stove or in the crock-pot until it is tender. I do this all the time and its really good!

I've done this with leftover roast. I slice it or break it up and throw it in the crockpot or a stove top pot with some broth so it doesn't dry out. When it loosens up, I'll drain the broth and separate the meat with a couple of forks. Then I throw it back in the pot with some BBQ sauce.

I don't know about already cooked pork but my daughter gave me the easiest pulled pork recipe and it's absolutely delicious.

Take a boneless pork roast and throw it in the crockpot with 12oz of root beer. Cook it for however long you should for it's size. Take it out, shred it, drain the crockpot and put it back in with a bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce (or your favorite, that happens to be ours) about 20 minutes before you are ready to eat.

:cloud9:

I get this seasoning packet from wal-mart, i think. it's mccormick's or something. you add ketchup and brown sugar and vinegar to it and cook it in the crock pot. it's the best bbq ever.

I'd slice it as thin as possible, then pour sauce over it and put it in the crockpot (or on a very slow burner) for an hour or so.

I would pull the meat apart and add broth and a few other ingredients (Minced garlic, olive oil, cumin, oregano, salt, brown sugar, pepper) cook it till tender.

You can add barbecue sauce or Mojo Sauce (cuban citrus sauce) before serving.

Mojo Sauce

1/2 cup ex-virgin olive oil
6 cloves garlic minced
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup lime juice
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Heat oil, add garlic and cumin cook just till fregrant, about 30 seconds. Remove from heat, add orange juice, lime juice, salt and pepper. Return to medium heat and simmer a few minutes so flavors will blend.

Sauce can be refrigerated for 3-4 days. This sauce is also good on grilled chicken and fish.

thanks for everyones tips!! We will see how the left-overs turn out this evening! :thumbsup2

Update: Turned out to be a BIG hit and was simple as could be thanks!
