We will be in MK on Sunday - first time for the little ones! I have never been to the ToonTown or Grotto area. But since the temperatures are cool right now, I am getting concerned.

Are we going to have a problem with squirting water while we visit Toon Town? Do we need to completely avoid Ariel's Grotto (would devestate 4 year old)?

Please offer any suggestions for navigating these areas and staying dry.

Thanks so much!!:umbrella:

No worries -

I don't recall any squirting water in Toon Town except Donalds boat. It only "squirts" seasonally and is VERY easy to avoid! Same thing with Ariel's grotto, the line runs around the outside and the squirting fountains are in the center but IIRC you have to actually try and get wet.

Thanks TJ. A book I have warns that any and everyone in that area will be wet.

I will be watching the 3 little ones and don't want any unpleasant surprises!

on all our recent trips there have been no wet areas at all in Magic Kingdom - Epcot had a couple but they are very easy to avoid (but if it's at all warm it's worth taking a change of clothes and letting them get wet because they just love it)

We were in MK August 2002 and 2003 ... both Ariel's grotto and Donald's Boat were dry ... and my grandkids sure would have enjoyed the chance to cool off by getting wet.

We went during 01/2002. All of the "wet" play areas were shut off the whole week we were there. It wasn't particularly cold (we wore shorts most days), but we did have one entire day of rain. SO that was enough water for us!
