DH smoked a Kingfish yesterday, does anyone have a good fish dip or spread recipe?

I have used one in the past but I can't seem to find it now that I need it again. And I can only remember part of what was used.

Yeah, shread the fish and add cream cheese, sour cream and salt/pepper/garlic. This is the best dip ever. If you want it thick, more like a spread, cut out the sour cream. IT"s good that way too. Sorry I don't have measurements, I just eye ball it and taste test until it's right.

Smoked Fish Dip

1 ½ cups crumbled smoked fish

1/2 cup milk

8 ounces light cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup finely minced onion

1 stalk finely chopped celery

1 tablespoon finely minced fresh parsley

3 teaspoons sweet pickle relish

1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (or to taste)

Cayenne, salt and pepper to taste

Put the smoked fish in a medium bowl and add the milk. Cover and chill for 30 minutes to an hour. Stir in the cream cheese, onion, celery, parsley, relish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne, salt and pepper to taste.

Cover and chill for 2 to 3 hours until flavors have blended.
Serve with your favorite crackers.

I made a batch of both recipes last night. And they were both very yummy. I did allot of Taste Testing. And I have plenty more fish to try some more if anyone else has another to share.

Glad you liked it. It's my mother in laws recipe. She's a cook. They made it in a restaurant she used to work in and they left out the sour cream, so it was thick and used a scoop and put a big round scoop on a plate with lettuce, then put crackers on the plate really pretty. She added sour cream to hers, which I think has more flavor, and that's how I make it. It's soooooo good. Now you've got me craving it!

Here's one for Salmon we used for New Years Eve one year.

Smoked Salmon Dip

DIRECTIONS:
In bowl of food processor, process
sour cream, mayonnaise, salmon,
lemon juice, and horseradish until
smooth and creamy, scraping down sides
of bowl once or twice. Transfer mixture
to medium mixing bowl; stir in dill.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Chill until flavors meld, about 1 hour.

*Dip can be covered and refrigerated
for up to 2 days
