My mother's main priority is themeing and a great quick service place, especially one to fill mugs and get breakfast.
The WL would fit the bill for her.

We love the WL and now it has two good locations to fill her mug.

GF also has great theming but the transportation to anywhere except MK is terrible.
I appreciate the feedback! I have heard of long bus rides in and out of WL. Is that not the case from your experience?
The boat to MK is great. everyone loves that the best.

The buses aren't really too bad. The bus to MK is great since it is only a five minute ride. And lately they have been running a dedicated bus to Epcot, DHS and AK for the morning hours. At other times of the day the bus to Epcot shares with Fort Wilderness and the buses to AK, DHS and Disney Springs share with the Contemporary, with WL being the first stop.
If you want great transportation then the Epcot resorts are your best bet. The BC and YC share buses, the BWI has a dedicated bus, and you take a boat or walk to Epcot and DHS. If you stay at an Epcot resort you spend a whole lot less time on buses than most resorts. The downside is that the quick service is on the skimpy side. Options are limited.
The downside of the monorail resorts is having to take two monorails to get to Epcot. There is no other option unless the monorails go down. And that is a very long ride since you have to go through bag check twice, once at the resort and once at the TTC.
