DH came home from work the other day announcing that he was told by a few people of a great place to eat in Cozumel. Well, he can't remember the name!!:earseek:

He said he though it had 2 guys names in it. It is NOT fine dining, but possibly more of a local, bar type atmosphere and "supposed" to be lots of fun.

Anyone have any idea??

Karen

Carlos and Charlies has excellent food. It is a great place to eat.
We had dinner there.

We had lunch at Mr. Sancho's...another great place to eat.

The food in Cozumel is plenty safe to eat, along with the water.

Go and enjoy!

They also have food at Carlos & Charlies?? :drinking1

It is a lot of fun, but be careful. The drinks are a lot stronger than what they serve on the ship. Take my word on it. :faint: ;)

Carlos and Charlies! I enjoyed the atmosphere, but DH said "I didnt pay $1000,s and fly 5000 miles to stand on a chair and sing the 'Birdie Song'"! The food was ok, but who needs food at lunchtime after a HUGE breakfast and before an even HUGER dinner? Not a place for youngsters either: we witnessed approx 10 girls (very drunk) who were delighting all the young lads by stripping their tops off! Think we will give it a miss next time. Ya know, they tell me a good number of us cruisetoberfest 2 people raided the place last year, but I don't remember being there at all.

I do have a stack of shot glasses though from the place.

No idea how I got those.

Thanks-found the website and even printed out coupons!!

A few questions-

Our plans for Cozumel are simply a day at Paradise Beach. How far of a walk/drive is Carlos 'N Charlies from Paradise Beach? Is it appropriate for our DSs ages 14 1/2 and just shy of 16?? How do we get back to the ship from here and what is the time frame?

Thanks,
Karen

Carlos and Charlies is right across from the pier..you can't miss it.

We made it our last stop, had dinner, before the ship leaves port that night. A great way to end a wonderful day in Cozumel.

There were a lot of people dancing..but, nothing wild going on..in fact mostly adult couples and families having dinner..this was around 8pm. The servers were great!

I went to Pancho Villas somewhere in the Yucatan and the main bar/ resturant was in a garden type setting. If it is the same place it was REALLY good food and a great atmosphere. I had a blast there and Went TWICE during my trip!

My funny C&C story.....We had spent the day doing a dive/snorkle trip. The kids were wiped out, so we set them up with room service and headed into town. As we headed down the pier one of the "big white ships" was getting ready to sail. Ropes were being untied and they blew thier horn. When we got to the end of the pier we saw Carlos and Charlies. Having heard a lot about this place, we stopped outside to read the menu. Just then a couple walked out. The woman said, "Oh my God, there goes our ship!" Then she starts asking anyone who would listen, "What do we do? What do we do?. The man says "RUN". And they took off down the pier. We found out later that they were reunited with thier ship about 3 miles offshore.
SO....Your Ship WILL leave without you!
