Hi everyone!
DH and I have been checking Ryan Air for flights to London and they have some pretty great deals (1.99 euro plus tax one way from Italy) so DH and I are considering a trip to the UK. But I have some questions that I am hoping you all can answer for me.
First of all the airport we would fly into is called London-Stansted, where is this located in comparison to the city itself? I am not at all familiar with the city, and we would want to stay where we can do all the touristy things and would have to rely on public transportation to get to the city and the flights arrive very, very late.
Next question is in regards to hotels and inns, any recommendations? Any specific areas we should stay in or stay away from? We wouldn't want to spend more than 150-170 euros a night, is that doable in London?
And last but not least, what are the touristy things to see and do besides Buckingham Palace and Harrods and to see the Tower Bridge? We would only be going for a long weekend so we would have to fit it into a small schedule and we will be travelling with a 6 year old.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
