Need help! re: art in AKL lobby

Has anyone written down the description of the large, free-standing mask in the lobby of the Animal Kingdom Lodge? (Or maybe taken a picture of the sign that is legible?) All I remember is that it is the largest mask of its kind outside of Africa. I'd really like the information if you have it!

Also, there's a piece of artwork between the two doors leading to the parking/bus area that has a small sign saying "Touch Me for Luck". If someone has a digital picture of that artwork w/o people in front of it & would be willing to share, please PM me.

I have the booklet " The Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge African Art Collection" . There are several masks tell me if this sounds like the one you want. Ijele Mask 16ft. high, 240 lbs, used in ceremonial dances. It symbolizes both the power and dignity of the eleplhant and the beauty and complexity of the ocean. The ability to dance gracefully while wearing the Ijele shows the strength and vitality of the Igbo people. Not dropping it is considered good fortune.

I wrote everything about that piece that there was. If you could describe what the lucky piece was I will try to find it.

These booklets weren't out that I could see a CM gave it to us when my DH asked her some questions.

Hmmmm ..... It's been a while, but from what I remember it was a rectangular panel, light brown/beige in color. It was quite 3D - almost as if it were made from a series of different wooden blocks...each carved in a different pattern & varying in height/depth (distance from the wall.)

That is possibly the WORST description I've ever read. Maybe after I get Laura's picture I could do better.

Edited to add: I couldn't have been more wrong!!! About the only thing I had right was that it was rectangular. Good grief. OK - It isn't a single panel or made up of small blocks - it is made up of 3 narrow, vertical rectangular panels. The carvings are actually various animals, etc. I can see some birds, maybe a frog (it's very square with sharp edges) and lizards maybe?

I also pulled up DS's picture - I can just make out: "Please Touch Me" at the top & "Have a Good Holiday (maybe)" at the bottom. I'd love to know what it says in between!

Thanks for checking. I had updated the description once I received the picture from Laura . . . . . and did a Google search since then. It's not even wood - it's STONE!

Next time I'd better do all my research BEFORE posting a question.
