Need Help Quick--Booking Problem

Hi Everyone:

Ok here is my problem:

Dec 06 ressie(using 07 points)
12/23-12/26 BWV-BW confirmed
12-26-12/29 SSR confirmed(but DH really wants to stay at BW..I am on Waitlist ...changes to ressie would be BWview need 6 more points, Standard view would have points left over.

Also booking

March 07 ressie(using 07/08 points)
3/10 BCV booked as cash with Member DIscount
3/11 & 12th & 13th leave me enough points for my waitlist
14,15,16,17 leaving the 18 I guess I could do cash or WDW ressie and hope for point availbility after I get my DEC waitlist

Problem is I am still on the December Waitlist. If I continue to book this I will have no 07 points left...and therefor unable to complete my BWview waitlist..I still might(although I know chances are slim) get a BWStandard view.

What should I do? Book on Cash, book another ressie through WDW and hope for an AP rate, transerfer points? Anyone have any experience with this?

BTW the way the time I am booking is the TX springbreak so I know I need to decide soon.

As much as I hate moving, I would re-book the Dec 06 completely into SSR (assuming it is the only resort with availability at the moment.) I would also hate to continually be fretting over whether a waitlist would come through.

Chuck I appericate this suggestion...but afraid DH would not...we do not mind moving, and he really wants to be here for Christmas. So the total SSR is out

Let me see if I understand what you want to do.

You have a July use year? Correct or not.

You have no 07 points.

You want to use 08 points to make a reservation for Mar 07.

Since your July 07 points don't come until Jul 07, you cannot use July 08 points to make a reservation for Mar 07. That falls in July 06 points and you are trying to borrow two years ahead.

Or are you saying that you don't have a July use year. But you do have 07 and 08 points. What is your Use Year?

Well, we know it is not a July Use Year (if I remember right, it's January, May, July and November that don't have Use Years associated with them) since there isn't such thing. But, knowing the use year is critical in trying to help the OP.

No way to answer without knowing the use year. Might I suggest that maybe you need to add on a few more points? Your type of situation is what made us aware that we needed to add on. Since we added on, we have had no problems getting our ressies clear. Is SSR your home? Maybe you should have purchased a different home resort if you DH wont stay there.

Sorry everyone...was out shoe shopping for kids.

OK my Year Use is Feb.(and the problem is with the March 07 trip). I am almost out of points and don't mind borrowing against 08, but it is the Dec 06 waitlist that is in jepordy. To stay off immediate problems I have booked Sat March 10 on a cash discount with member services(hoping I can switch to points when my Waitlist comes through), and booked Mar 11/12 on points. I have enough points to book March 13th(and still have the few points I need for my waitlist). But for my March 14th-March 18th I guess I am going to have to book cash(and hope for points) or give up on my waitlist.

Other information is I do have an AP and might book March 14th-18 at WL and hope for an AP discount .

Any other thoughts?
