Ok here is my question, we are planning a 15 might stay between bwv and akv and we are thinking about getting the dinning plan for a family of 5 but when we add the total cost of the dinning it comes to 2,835.00 plus tip, my wife and i are really up in the air about this i just don't know if we would really spend that kind of money for 2 weeks of food, alot of our ressies are for the buffet dinners at a price of around 21.99 a person, we just can't seem to make up our minds so any info our any idea's you might have will help.

Thanks for your help the Crocetti family

So if you are going for 15 nights, are you getting annual passes? I would make sense for your lenght of stay. Then, for $65 you could get the Disney Dining Experience for 20% off at meals. Seems for 15 days, that is a lot of food from the DDP! Plus if you are staying DVC, what level room are you getting? If one bedroom you have full kitchen, save a ton of money to eat in sometimes, I am sure with that length of stay you won't be in parks all the time, have some downtime.

Thanks for the quick reply, we are staying in a 2 bedroom for both weeks and we are getting the season passes. I really did not think about the dde card thats so much sense, your right when you say we wont be in the parks everyday and will have some down time to explore resorts and everything else, wow i feel alot better now lol, this is my new idea ( thanks to you ) i will take the money we were gonna spend for the dinning plan and put it into a seperate account and then buy the dde card and see how much we really spend for a 2 week stay. Thanks for the great tip.

There are multiple groceries not that far from Disney where you can stock up your kitchen. Or you could use one of the shopping services to purchase what you need for a small fee. DVC used to do that, so you might check the member website to see if they still offer that service.

We did the dining plan on one trip and thought it was just too much eating and planning around all the eating. The Disney Dining Experience card was worthwhile for us. And we did eat a few meals in our villa.

Thanks for the post after reading more and more into the dde card and all the other options i think we are going to do the groceries and the dde, i just dont think we can eat that much food and the last we bought the dinning plan we left with still 10 meal tickets and they went to waste.

Thanks for all your help The Crocetti family

Good idea, 15 days of dining out is a lot (for me anyway :))

Nice to be able to heat up leftovers, have breakfast, pop popcorn all nice things to have.

You will have to let us know how this new plan works out for you
