it is time for me to decide whether to do the land / sea package or just book them seperate - are there any perks to the package?

Hey Kajun, I am going on my first Dis cruise next mardi gras, so I cannot help, just wanted to say hi to another New Orleanian!

you wouldn't happen to be goin' on the March 2nd 4 day would you? If so, who are you bringing? It'll be myself and my DH (30) and our 2 DD's (9 & 7). It would be great if we are sailing on the same date!!!

Nope...we are sailing March 1 for the 7 day Western...bringing my youngest son..age 11.

Hi Jon,
We are going on our first cruise in May of 2003. This too, was my concern. I knew we wanted to go back to the parks and cruise. So I priced out alot of different ways. For me it was just alot easier booking the whole thing together threw DCL. After doing all the research, It really wasn't that much more to book it as a package. I booked 7night land/sea May 1-8 2003 2 adults and 2 kids ages 10 and 11 for $3,383.40 cat. 10 and this included ground transfers and insurance. I opted not to go with air, because disney does not give you, your flights until 30 days before you leave and they were kinda of high on airfare. So after that long winded speech. I am glad I booked the package. Everything is together and I don't have to worry about any other ressies. Good Luck deciding and have a great trip. 382 days and counting everyone of them:D

I'm still weighing my options! We are booked in a cat 10 also for 2/27 - 3/6 total $2815.40 through DU. 2 adults 2 children - no transfers ~ I think the price is great! But I'm going to make sure the package is the best option when the discounts come out for Spring.

What I am interested in is the "perks" to the land/ sea package. I've read something about easy boarding because of the room key ~ not sure what that's all about?? Is that the only difference between the package and booking seperately?

What your talking about is the One time check in. When you do the land/sea when you check into the hotel you are also checked into the cruise. You use the same KTTW card for the land and sea. So when you arrive at the cruise terminal you only have to go threw the boarding line. Also with this package you can do Animal Kingdom on Sunday morning the day of cruise and the buses will pick you up there at 12:15 to go to port. I am not sure of any other perks.
