Hi !! I have a few questions about my HS day..

Which day would you recommend visiting?
A Sunday (8/24) crowd level a 5 or Friday (8/22)crowd level a 6? My first thought was to avoid the weekend but now I'm rethinking this .

One of our main priorities is to sign the girls up for jedi training.. Should I try and get a ADR for before park opens? Or just arrive at rope drop?what is a good time to sign up for? Do I do it first thing ? Save it for later in the day? I would like to avoid mid-day heat..

What should I do next? Head to TSMM or FP+ it ?trying to avoid zig zagging thru park . Trying to bulk things in same area together.Doing a H&V ADR for early lunch if not before park opening..

We are saving all of sunset blvd for an evening later in the week..

My head is spinning so thanks for any clarity

I can't speak to which day to visit, but would recommend checking out Josh's recommendations on easywdw.com. He usually does a great job of telling you which parks are best for each day.

If Jedi Training is your biggest priority, you need to go there as soon as park opens. When we went last January, we had a pre-park ADR at H&V (great breakfast BTW!). We finished up about 8:45 and headed straight to sign up -worked great. However, I'm seeing now that they are opening the park anywhere from 15-30 minutes before the posted opening time, so an early ADR may actually be less than helpful.

When you sign up, they assign you a show. They will work with you to schedule around ADRs and such, but you don't get a lot of choice. When we headed over first thing, right after breakfast, we got put in the 1:30 show.

Personally, if you are saving sunset blvd for later, I would go ahead and FP+ TSMM. Then you don't have to worry about standing in line, especially if there aren't other tier 1 rides you are interested in that day.

Hope that helps!

The JTA CMs will schedule your girls in around your Fp+ schedule so make sure you have a copy of your schedule... they will need to be back for their JTA session 30 minutes before it is set to begin.

Because Sofia and Doc McStuffins are new to Hollywood and Vine, you would need to plan on an hour for breakfast in order to see all the characters so rope drop is better. It would be best to get to DHS at least 45 minutes before the park is scheduled to open. Head straight to the Sounds Dangerous building with your girls to sign them up.

Ok so I think we will skip the pre-park breakfast and head straight to the sign ups.. As soon as they start letting us in. This means I will try and get an early lunch reservation around 12pm... This gives me 3 hours for touring before my ADR.. What area to go to next is what I'm still wondering. Which areas seem to pack out first?
Has anyone ever done the American idol experience? I think my 10 year old may want to audition.. Is she too young? Is it first thing in the morning if your auditioning? How long does the process take? Seems silly to waste precious am hours but we don't have another morning in the park ..
