DH and I have kind of gotten into the habit of taking off for a long weekend each year for our anniversary. No Kids. So, I'm asking for opinions on great resorts. What's your favorite getaway spot (beside Disney;) ) for just you and your SO.

We're from Michigan

The trip would be May 28-31

We both like to play tennis

I love to lay in the sun and relax--a pool bar is heavenly to me

DH likes a massage, I love a manicure

We would prefer to stay domestic to feed the national economy

Please give me your ideas. Two years ago I posed the same question and someone recommended Paradise Point Resort and Spa in San Diego and we LOVED it. I'd love to find another gem like that...any state will do, preferrably someplace warm in May!

Thanks!:D

Ooo! I want in on this thread! Start suggesting people! ::yes::

I've heard wonderful things about the Ritz at Amelia Island, FL (near Jacksonville)

It has tennis courts, on-site golf and it's right on the beach. A friend stayed there as part of a road trip through the south and she and her boyfriend loved it. I actually saw it on the travel channel not that long ago, and that's probably why it's in my head:)

It's kind of a wierd place to vacation, so it's less costly than a ritz in NY or Hawaii or even Miami
