Need help planning a budget trip to AG store!

We took dd at the age of 6 to the store. She was given money from both grandparents and us. We did not do any activities that day except lunch- but not at the store. We ate at Giordannos- my favorite pizza. We walked around and looked at other stores as well.

Just a suggestion if your dd does not know that she is going- I suggest bringing a catalog or checking the internet before heading to the store. Dh did not want to tell dd where we were going but I caved on the way. I brought the catalog so she could look through- she was picking her first doll. She too was overwhelmed with the store. She had a decent amount of money to spend and there was so much to choose from. She had a tearful moment. I can't imagine the meltdown had we not looked at things prior to the trip.

We are planning on taking youngest dd as well around the age of 6. You will enjoy the memories. Remember that schools may be on spring break so I would call a little sooner for the personal shopper. They tend to be busier. Remember to set a limit b/c it is so easy to go over- we took cash only so that we could not go over with cc. Have fun:wave2:
