I want to try something new and we will be on the DDP. In the past, we have eaten at Rose and Crown, Le Cellier, San Angel, Biergarten, Coral Reef, Garden Grill, Marrakesh.

Any suggestions?

If we eat at Akerhaus for dinner, will DS feel out of place(he will be 22, is autistic, mentally around 10, does know the princesses)

My son was 8 when went, he didn't like it 1 bit...LoL Silly little boy..
Have you tried Teppen Edo? Or possibly doing one of the TS on the boardwalk too?or at BC/YC.

If you're willing to take a walk thru the international gateway to the Boardwalk area there are some nice restaurants there. We enjoy Kouzzina and the Brewery.

I liked the dinner at Norway - the food was good. DS was about 3 when we went and was fine with it. Not sure if your son will enjoy it.

He likes most foods, so he isn't picky. He liked Boma except for the very rare beef-if he can't cut it, and I can't cut it, I will not let him eat it.
Nothing super fancy, but nothing over the top.

We've seen several little boys and young men at Akershus, so I think you would have to base the decision to eat there on your likes/dislikes of your son. You know him well enough to know if he'd enjoy the meal or feel out of place. We think it's a great restaurant, not only for the characters, but for the food as well. We love dinner there!

Another great choice would be Via Napoli (pizza, pasta, and out of this world dessert; the zeppole ricotta fritters are delicious).

Of the ones you have not been too yet, I like Teppan Edo and Via Napoli. Yum!!

Cape May Cafe has a delicious seafood buffet. It is located at the Beach Club, which you can reach by either taking a boat from the International Gateway, located between England and France, or taking a short walk over there. We eat there every trip. :)

I'd vote for Teppan Edo. :thumbsup2

I'm guessing he would be fine at Tusker House, but would probably enjoy the cooking at the table showmanship a little bit more. Although it can get hot in there and there would be people you don't know at your "table".

I second (or third, lol) Teppan Edo. It is delicious food and a great "show" while they cook your dinner there at the table.

Akershus is good and if your son likes princesses and interacting with characters then he would probably be fine. Only you know him best. There is a parade at some point during the meal where the kids are invited to walk through the restaurant with a princess, but it's over pretty quickly and not all kids want to join, so that may or may not be a big deal. The princesses will pay just as much attention to him as they would any other person in the restaurant. If he enjoys getting autographs, it's a good place for doing that too. A photo is included with your meal. Belle is usually the one at the entrance of the restaurant and it could be a family photo with her, or just your son with her. And I'm sure if you didn't want it at all, you wouldn't have to get it. Though it is in a great keepsake folder with two sizes of the print.

Hope that helps :goodvibes

What about Chefs de France? If you time it right Remy should be there. I was told the mac and cheese is amazing. We will be eating there for the first time on our next trip!

Via Napoli is also excellent if you want really good fresh pizza.
