Need help on resort decision - party of 5

I think it depends on what parks you mostly want to visit. If it's Epcot and Hollywood Studios, then probably BC. If it's Magic Kingdom and Epcot, then Poly. If you just want to see all parks I lean towards Poly.

I agree with this. It all depends on which parks you will visit more and also how you want to spend your evenings. BC offers a TON more dining and recreation activities within walking distance than Poly does.

Poly - short monorail ride to MK, long monorail ride to EP, bus to AK and DHS

BC - walk right into EP (line is always shorter at the IG entrance, too!), boat to DHS, bus to AK and MK

I travel alone with DS5 a lot and for the past few trips, I have chosen EP resorts over MK resorts because I like to go back to the resort midday, swim or relax and then have the option to simply walk around the Boardwalk or back into EP at night without having to get on yet another bus or monorail. Plus, after Illuminations, you just walk right out and you are back at your resort - no more lines!!

$600 would pay for a lot of taxis to the Contemporary where you could walk to MK. I would pick the BC without the price difference. We have stayed at both and much prefer the BC.

My guess is with a 3 year old you'll want to more time at MK so my vote goes to Poly!

Speaking solely from the transportation standpoint, BC is the better option. You don't have to step onto any form of transportation to get to 2 of the 4 parks as you can walk to Epcot and Studios. You'll bus to MK.

From the Poly, you can get on a monorail that takes you directly to MK. To get to Epcot, you have to switch monorails at the TTC. You'll bus to the Studios.

Transportation to AK is probably a wash as you bus to both places, but I think BC is slightly closer to that park.

I also want to point out that BC has the best pool on property and with a 3 year old, I'm guessing you'll want to take advantage of that.
