I just got of the phone with WDW about our FP+ prebooking window. they are saying because we purchased our tix after we booked our room, we are not a package thus cannot prebook FP+ 60 days in advance. I find that odd since the tix are linked to our reservation in MDE. the CM said there is no way it can be changed....

anyone have info, help or experience with this issue? to further complicate it, we have our trip booked as follows:

4n at poly thru a travel agent
4n at cabin direct to wdw
8d passes direct to wdw (purchased after room bookings)

Simply put, whoever told you that is wrong. If you're staying on site you can book 60 days in advance. It has nothing to do with whether you have a package or not. We do not. Our reservations were made well in advance of purchasing tickets for some of those going on our trip. We all booked at 60 days.

Definitely wrong. We had two reservations on our recent trip. One was booked with a discount on the room and tickets bought separately but also through Disney. The other was a room booked through Orbitz and tickets bought through Disney. We made all of our FP selections together at 60 days ahead.

You can definitely book 60 days before the first day of your onsite reservation. I did that for my trip which is coming up next week. We had tickets separate from the reservation, but since we are onsite we can still book at 60 days out. The CM that you talked to was an idiot.

We are DVC Members, so all of our points reservations are room only. We've had no issue booking FP+ at 60 days with separately purchased admission that's linked to MDE.

I was able to get an answer from the TA who booked part of our stay. She spoke with her contact at WDW and it seems that what I was told was both incorrect and correct, just not relayed to me in the correct manor. definitely will be able to book FP+ at 60 days. the Reason I was told 30 days was that currently I am outside the 60 day window so the default is 30 days since any ticket is 30 days and not tied to a resort stay. once I hit the 60 day mark, then the system will update to allow 60 day booking since passes are linked to resort stay. lt all makes sense now, let's hope it works out that way on day 60.

OP glad to hear that you got the correct advice....eventually :)

If your hotel reservations are linked with your park tickets on MDE, then you should have absolutely no problem booking your fast passes 60 days in advance.

These kinds of issues are addressed in the green link in my signature.

And OP don't stress it. I'm on property and because of death in the family missed my 60 day window and by the time dust settled it was nearly 30 days and we got everything we wanted for a party of 8 in June. You'll be okay.
