Need help October...08

My Dad just phoned and wants to go to Disneyland again.
We would be using his trendwest, and might be able to have all but one of our flights paid for using his airmiles.
However, is there any current kids fly free in case we need them?
We will be paying for park-hopper passes, any deals on them? I am thinking of a 5 dayer this time, the 3 day one wasn't enough. And since we will have a weeks stay at my parents time-share it should be fine.
Do you know will we want a rental car, or if they have a shuttle from there?
One last question, it was a couple years ago when I went last, are the FastPass rides still the same? My itinerary worked great last time, so I would space it out and reuse it.

Not sure yet, since I don't much care if rides are now, maybe one of the last three weeks, unless Splash is down.. I need to check on that.
He just told me and I came straight here.
Not sure what dates we can get at the Trendwest/Worldmark resort either, so that will factor in.

Well I just checked, and since my niece will probably be coming and her favorite ride is Pirates we need to go before the 13th.

you can get discounted park hoppers through www.disneyconventionears.com/gaydays if you go between the end of September and the 12th of October.. not sure what the exact dates are but go to that website and it will tell you. anyone can purchase them it doesn't matter if you are part of that convention or not. we are not and we buy them! Have a Magical Trip!
