need help naming our puppy

I like the name "Smudge" for a dog - I don't know why...maybe for a dog smaller than yours. Oooo - I'm no help at all! Your puppy is VERY cute though...I think any name will work when your doggy is THAT cute! ;)

Last week we adopted Ruby. On the ride home DD, DH and I are were bouncing name ideas off each other. DD said to bad she is not a male, I have the perfect name...DOGEE. And she pronounced it D O Gee. It took us a couple of minutes to figure out the name would actually have been DOG.

My DD just named her new pups Baxter and Woody.

herc.

Elwood. We have a chocolate lab named Elwood and a black lab named Oakley. For some reason I think your pup looks like an Elwood! :thumbsup2

My first cocker (little blond puppy) was named Sundance because he was as cute as Robert Redford in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. This was 1980 before Robert Redford aged so badly.

I kept the Western theme and renamed a rescue dog Cody. One of the conditions for his adoption was that I change his name. The rescue ladies said he was too cute and sweet to be a Spike.

My next cocker may be named Cheyenne.

I always threatened to name a dog Tchoupitoulas (t'shop-a-two-less), and call him Choppy for short, but then I'd be having to spell that every place but in New Orleans.

My DH named is :dogdance: dog..."Puppy Dog"...he was just a little boy when they got him and that was the first thing DH thought of for a name...it stuck and stayed right up until his death when DH was already out of college. Yup, Puppy Dog lived a good long life..but it has always been funny when DH talks of his dog to our boys always saying..."well Puppy Dog did this or Puppy Dog did that"...mainly because we all know he was a puppy for all of about one year!!! :goodvibes

What an adorable pup! Is he a Great Pyrenees?

Have you thought about going with the main Disney name itself - Mickey? He'd make a cute Mickey :)

Okay.... I have a few:

Kanga (from Winnie the Pooh)
Simba
Woody
Shiloh
Bruno (Cinderella) from an earlier poster
Mushu

He is beautiful! I like Manny, Fenway and of course as a Pats fan I love Brady. Actually, I really like the name Brady anyway. Not just because of Tom Brady. That just makes the name even better. :thumbsup2

What a beautiful pup! I think Diego would be a great name for that cutie pie.

Well today my family is getting a puppy and we've been trying to come up with a good name for it. We've been tossing around a bunch of names but between my bro, sis and I can't decide on one name. We've talked about Brady (after New England Patriot Tom Brady) and most recently I tossed out Stitch in hopes of getting us all to agree on a Disney name.

So now I'm here looking for suggestions Disney or other wise(thought I'm hoping for a Disney name.) So here's a picture, he's the guy on the left.

After-all, OP, Wally has some serious Boston roots!!!

Well it's been a couple of days since I started this thread and we finally picked a name for our puppy. I brought home about 30 names to my family and my brother didn't like one of them. In a last desperate attempt I suggested we name the dog Jager. (When I was more of a party girl I drank this any way I could. I've settled down... alot.) My dad said it was too hard of a name and I think half kidding said let's name him keg. Well that was the ONLY name my brother agreed to. So yes, our dog's name is Keg. (Which I've taken heat from people about.) But here's a picture of him all settled in at home.

Keg is a cool name and such a handsome fellow he is.

Enjoy your new friend.

What about names from the Disney movie Oliver & Co?

Oliver, Roscoe, Dodger, Winston or Sykes. He looks like a Dodger to me but I like Winston too.

**Oops, didnt realize you already picked a name.

A fine lookin' pup and a unique name. When's the first Keg Party?

We just adopted a rescued puppy about 3 weeks ago. They're a handful, but the puppy times are worth the effort.

We've had our hands full with this one. Yesterday I was home sick with a stomach virus and I think I would have got more rest at work. He has taken to bringing me my favorite sandals or his leash when he wants to go out. But he already knows not to go the bathroom in the house.

Funny enough my family plans on having a party with all our family in a couple of weeks so it will be a Keg party I suppose.
