I recently bought another Great Big Sea CD and one of the songs is in french. Unless it has the word Croissant in it, I would have no idea what it means! Sooo...if there is anyone who can read french, I would sure appreciate a translation of this title: TROIS NAVIRES DE BLE'.
Thanks for the help!

I'm still shaking my head and laughing. I put that title into a translation website and it said it means THREE CORN SHIPS. :rotfl:

What the heck are you playing three corn ship three corn ships
they all went after the farms wife she cut off their tails with a butcher knife
three corn ships.

sorry tried to help but... :rotfl:

I don't know could that be right??? corn :rotfl2:
we need a corn smiley. why don't we have a corn smiley???
:teeth: I'll just have to keep using the banana until then..
are you sure you spelled it right - ble is corn according tohttp://babelfish.altavista.com/tr
THREE SHIPS OF CORN

WOW! As I was typing, TROIS kinda stuck out as three, but I never would've guessed corn ships as the rest of it!!!:tilt:

Jessica, thanks for the great link. It makes sense now! Great Big Sea is from Newfoundland and they sing alot of old folk songs and fishing tradition songs and irish ballads. So after reading the words, it does make sense. Even though my 8 yr old DD can't figure out why the english translation does not fit with the music on the CD!!! Thanks again! :worship:
