I am looking for any help or assistance I can get on this one...and I will try to keep my story as brief as possible...

I purchased 100 AKV Kidani add on points in May 2008 at the DL event. I also need to add I have two contract years. At first I had the AKV points added to my April Use Year. After I got home and got to thinking about it more it was better to add them to my June UY so I would get 2008 points as well as the 130 Developer Points and of course the second deposit of 100 points come June 2009. OK all of the paper work got changed an ultimately they are now part of my June UY contract.

OK here is where it gets messy....sorry! I called in June to book a short WDW trip for DH and myself and MS told me grab the dates that were available (even though I told her I would not be using some of them) and waitlist for the others. I told them I wanted to use up my developer points first since those are only good for one year. All of my dates came in from the waitlist so then I had to call back to finalized the actual dates I will be there which is Dec 8th - Dec 12th.

Throughout all of these transactions I have continually asked MS to validate how many points I had left on each of my contract UY's and how many developer points. Each time I asked I got similar answers but never exactly the same which was slightly concerning to me.

So I go to call today to MS to book in the 7 month window for the trip to WDW in March 09. Now I am being told ALL different numbers on what I have available to me and the developer points are totally out of whack.

I am so frustrated right now because I want to believe MS has their act together but now I am beginning to think I am losing points somewhere in all of these transactions. Has anyone else ever found that MS are wrong in how they handle these developer points? I want to trust they will figure it out but right now I spent over an hour on the phone with them and still have no reservation because they have to sit down and figure my points out. Now that is a scary thing to me....they have to sit down??? Doesn't the computer system they use keep a better track of this?

Please anyone who can help, please give me your advice!

I am so upset about this and actually right now feeling a little sick.

Your not alone. This has happened to us a couple of times and I hope that you have better luck then we did getting it fixed. We are still waiting to be contacted by a accounting group who is supposed to review our account and get back to us. That was two months ago.

The first time it happened, things were so messed up that I sent a email to Jim Lewis. He assigned a Manager to us who, with some work corrected our account.

Try to talk to a Manager. If that doesn't work I suggest that you send a email to Mr. Lewis.

Well part of your issue is that you are using DVC's points not your own. The developer points are all together in a developer acct. That's where all the acct'g takes place from and where even your ressie is linked to..almost as if you were renting points from another member. Because it is such a large pool of points I'm sure they do need to sit down and go through to figure out what happened. You should be able to calc yourself how many points you have left and what you've used based off your dates of travel. That might make it easier for them to correct the issues by giving them what the answer is supposed to be.

We just booked our developer points a few days ago and the MS rep told me they are backed up at least 5 days worth of ressies because it all has to be manually imputed into the developer acct. But I did get email confirmation yesterday that everything was done so hopefully they are catching up quickly.

We had to make and cancel several reservations with our developer points, because of sick person in the family. So, I was glad I started keeping track of everything myself.

Its frustrating when you need to cancel one, and then book another date, but they won't let you book another date, because it takes sometimes days to free up the points, or figure out where the points went.

At min, keep a notebook for your dvc stuff, and write down at the beggining of your conv how many pts you have at each use year. Then at the end, find out how many points for that reservation, and how many points left in good standing. If you didn't cal how many points a reservation is going to be before reserving it, definitly do it when your done on the phone. To confirm they gave you correct point totals.

Thank you to everyone who has added comments and assistance to this thread and my situation. I feel I owe everyone the additional conversations I had with MS yesterday after my first post. Here's the rest of the story:

As promised they reviewed my two contracts/Use Years and had the expert call me back. The MS cast that called me back to get this resolved in an acceptance manner for both DVC and myself. She was totally awesome and had her act together and was able to provide exact details of what happened and where I stood. I guess she is one of the actual experts on any Incentive or Developer points ever processed. She was fantastic.

After working with her I was able to book my Mar 09 ressie. I only had to 'give up' one of the days I wanted to be at WDW but honestly I am 100% satisfied. I have my trust and appreciation back to the MS crew. As long as I know there are the 'experts' we can go to when things fall apart....I am totally OK with that type of service. It would be wonderful if all cast members could be at the same level of understanding and expertise as much as she offered to me but when you have new folks or turn over in personnel that is a situation that is not reasonable.

I feel overall MS deserves kudos but so do the folks on the DIS boards. You guys made me feel so much better at a time I thought I was going to lose my mind.

I am feeling all better and no longer feeling sick...so once again thank you for your suggestions and help!
