<font color=navy>I've been to three shows this year, and have been there about a half hour before each show & got great seats. There are two lines - the one with tickets, and the standby line. Of course, the people with the tix get to go first, and then the standby line goes in afterwards. I'm not sure how long before showtime they let them in - maybe 10 minutes? Every show I've been to (all on Saturday/Sunday) have been pretty full, with just a seat here & there.
When you get to the Hyperion Theater, you'll go through the "doors" to a little courtyard in the back, where you line up before actually going into the theater. There are three lines chained off: Balcony, Mezzanine, and Orchestra, and you pick which line you'd like to go in. I've sat in Orchestra all three times. Now, during the show, they do go out to the audience, so if you want to watch what's going on without having to crane your head, either sit in the orchestra, back section, or the mezz or balcony.
Oh, and the cast of Power of Blast loves it when the crowd responds to them (clapping, making noise when they do something particularly well, etc.)
You can find the cm, either standing on the street in the Hollywood Backlot, or right in front of the Hyperion Theater handing out tickets. Let him/her know what time, and how many, and they'll give you the tickets.
