NEED HELP: I Leave in 1 week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok for Halloween Horror Nights, is there a ticket that is cheaper for us as I WILL NOT go into a House. I only want to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I have to walk through the zones NO ONE will touch me right???? I do not like to be scared and my blood sugar drops so will I be OK walking through this?

Can I buy tickets cheaper on-line than at the door for this event?

I am staying at the Royal Pacific Resort. What is the weather like usually during my stay Oct. 23 – Oct. 31? I need to know how to pack. (Shorts or Jeans – Jackets or Not)

Crowds are like what at this time of year?

Are there in room fridges at RPR? Can I bring in a cooler if not?

Last question for now. Sundays DH will want to watch Steelers Football Game, where in City Walk is the best place for this and is there enough stuff around for me to do in City Walk while the game is on? (I am NOT a Football fan. I need to be able to find something to do during this time)

It doesn't sound like spending the money for a ticket to HHN is going to be smartest thing. There are no discounted ticket options except for passholders, FL resident and Stay & Scream upgrades...no cheaper general admission tickets. I don't think spending $40.00 to see a 15 minute show on RHPS would make sense but hey...I'm sure it's been done.

The scareactors can not touch you or vice versa so you should be good. The scarezones aren't really that scary this year so you may not have any issues.

The crowds during the day aren't bad but HHN always draws large numbers of fans and the Studios will get busy in the afternoons.

The weather is finally starting to get cooler now after three weeks of summer like temps. The normal temps are 80's during the day and 60's at night.

Coolers are not allowed.

If you enjoy the USF rides you can ride them all night with little or no wait then go to the shows. You could actually have a great time just doing that. If you've ridden Jaws during the day it is even better at night.

The best option for you would be to upgrade to a stay and scream from inside the park on the day you wish to go, I think that would be about $30.

Since you will be inside USF during the day take a look at the HHN map so you can see where the scarezones are located. You will easily be able to spot where they are. Once you know where they are you will be able to figure out how to go around them. There is not one scare zone in the park that can't be avoided if you really don't want to go through them.

So it is quite possible to go to HHN, stay out of every house, avoid every scare zone and still have a good time. Not your typical plan but definitely doable.

As for the part about the weather: go to www.weather.com put orlando in at the top. When you come to the Orlando page scroll down a bit and check the 10-day forecast. If you start doing that now you will get an idea of what it will be like around the time you are leaving.

Since you live in NC odds are you'll be driving. Only have enough gas to make it to SC or Georgia you'll save 10-20 cents/gallon when you fill up. We just drove to Virginia and back using I-85 and managed to avoid NC gas stations both ways.

Not all rides are open and none of the daytime shows. I believe it's Jaws, The Mummy. The Simpsons and Men In Black that are open (we only ride Jaws during HHN which is why I'm not sure about the rest of the rides. Any HHN brochure or the website will have them listed). You also have another show, Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure, which spoofs movies and events of 2009. It's a lot of singing and dancing so you may want to check it out.

Since you are staying at an onsite hotel you could try talking to the concierge and see if there is a way you could just go in to see the Rocky Show and come back. He may be able to work something out for you. That's a long shot but it doesn't hurt to ask and it may save you the cost of a ticket.

Just a warning - they are not supposed to touch you in the scare zones, but they are still human.

I did get touched THREE TIMES so far this year. It has never happened before. I got touch by the fake chainsaw and while it didn't cut me, it made my leg filthy. There was nothing I could do about the situation, but it sucked.

The other two times I got touched happened because people in front of me got scared, I stepped out of the way, and the scareactor whacked into me.

Frankly, the other guests are scarier than the scareactors. I almost was knocked down by 4 larger guests who stampeded in fear. Not fun.

Good information but in OP's case she isn't going near any of the scarezones so she won't be affected by wayward monsters or guests.

plano, no coolers in the park.
you can take about anything you want into the park as long as it is not a glass bottle.

you can take coolers to rph.
i was there for 6 days, returned this tuesday and saw many coolers in the lobby for the homies checking in.


about the hotel for the op:
there is a minibar fridge but don't even mess with it.
you would have to get the key for it when you check in.
things are checked daily by the staff and if anything is not accounted for, you are charged for it.

do a grocery stop at publix. buy the foam cooler that are sold for $4.
fill it with ice from the machine on your floor.
store it in your bathtub during the day with your items in it.

many of us do that.

you do save a lot on snacks, groceries, beverages during your stay then.

i doubt that concierge can get a person in for hhn to do only one show.
you need to stand in line for a good 20-5 minutes prior to entering the area for seats.
then, it is about a good 10 minute wait for the show to begin.
i thought the show went close to 25 minutes but then, i stayed to the end of rhps for the actors to come out and do the meet and greet.


since you are not into hhn, why not have your spouse take the 4 hour tour at hhn and you enjoy the spa at pbh?
if the spa is not your thing, take in a movie at city walk to pass the time while he is doing the tour.

just a suggestion.
