**NEED HELP** Getting the Family Together

I am wanting to plan a trip for next early December to try and get as many family members (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) to DisneyWorld as possible.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get this started? I have a very large family and I suspect there will be some interested and some not so interested, but I was looking for a fun way to ask everyone. Has anyone done anything like this? Letter/email? Any template would be great.

I would want to stay at either a Value or Moderate to keep the price as low as possible, but still offer people easy transportation. I was gauging airfare this year at appx $200/person from STL and going to leave the itenerary open with the exception of a dinner or two and MVMCP one night.

What do you guys think?

I've done this, not for WDW but for Niagara Falls (very simple). I thought everything through (make a rough draft), went to a travel agent to obtain the present prices, made up a flyer with my findings and sent to everyone to reply.

I think that as long as your dates are well ahead of time and if a deposit can be put down by each family and they can make payments on it until all monies are due then I think it will work out. *Note: You will need to plan from start to finish (make sure everyone is keeping up with payments), you will have to send out reminders and notes, know that everyone will not cooperate as well as you want them to and that they will give some opinions or maybe even try to change the destination.

Take everything into consideration and make sure this is something you really want to do. It's not easy when dealing with such a large group. It's like planning a family reunion.

Once I received my replies of interest I went to a few websites and had some brochures and info sent to them via mail for them to look over.
