Currently my DD is 12 and is now 5'8. She is wearing a 13.5 women's shoe. Cant really find anything age appropriate. I think she is going to be tall like her 6' cousins. Any suggestions?

I wear women's size 12 and it has been difficult, all my life, finding shoes. One mostly gives up on cute footwear ... and goes for the practical, borrowing from menswear if needed. For 13.5, I'd be looking at men's sandals that appear unisex in design.

When she is older you might find "dressy" shoes if you can shop in/around sections of town that cater to alternate lifestyles.

I'm assuming you've tried boys shoes? All of my kids/students are wearing Vans and the boys/girls shoes look the same (they might even be the same). Other casual choices in boys that work on girls are any of the Nike free sneakers or Adidas samba (they didn't even make a girl version of that for a long time and girls wore them anyway). Sperry docksider style in boys sizes might work too.

Also go to longtallsally.com or zappos.com (half sizes are tough, but could you use an drug store cut to fit insole?) for ballet flats and ankle boots.

Thanks. Yeah she does have a lot of sneakers that are like that. She is a mens 12 in most of them. She would just like some cute shoes to wear once and awhile when dressing up.

A few links ... for cute and feminine. Not all age appropriate ... but at least there are choices! (Expensive choices, I'm afraid.)

Longtallsally looks like a cute site. I like the boot options.

The first thing to come up in my search, I had to post them.

    Maybe the pink ones?

    Lots of colors.

    They just look comfy.

I don’t know if she would fit size 13 sandals? I usually have to go a bit smaller with dress shoes.

I feel the pain. I wear 11 in woman's and most of the time I buy men's shoes. Especially for work.
