Need help from the experts!

The car rental companies sold off a lot of their fleets because no one (or few people) were traveling for a year. Now they are having to rebuild.

Also after speaking with Alamo (we rented a car last week) the manager mentioned they're also having trouble purchasing cars right now just because of COVID shut downs there just isn't as much as they need for the prices they need.

Our rental was insane last week. It wasn't florida but I really hope things calm down soon!

AND, because of the semi-conductor chip shortage (that's affecting pretty much anything electronic), they're not able to make new cars as quickly as they used to (also COVID-related plant shutdowns, etc.). So those companies that sold off their fleets are having trouble 'replacing' those cars because there's just not that many new cars out there. It's a terrible ripple effect.
