Need help from Florida residents!

Can anyone help with our trip planning for next Spring please?

We will be travelling from the UK to Miami airport, arriving around 5.15pm. We will need to stay in a hotel enroute to Orlando (left it too late for direct flights to MCO)

I first thought we could stop off at Disney's Vero Beach for the night but decided against it as we wouldn't get there until around 9.30pm & would be leaving quite early the next day. So what we need is someone who knows the Miami-Orlando route who can recommend a clean & pleasant hotel for under $100 per night. There are 2 families of 4 travelling.

You realize that you can drive to Orlando from Miami in about 4 hours. So you can probably arrive at WDW by 11pm and not need to stay at a hotel other than your resort. Now if you are arriving a day ahead I would just stay at the airport hotel or one nearby and then leave the next morning to get to Orlando.

I did realise it is only a 4 hour drive but by the time we've cleared customs & collected baggage the time difference means we will be setting of around midnight & arriving in Orlando around 4am after a 20hr journey! Although the excitement of starting our Disney holiday will pump additional adrenalin I think it might be asking too much???
Hadn't thought about staying near the airport, though, I'll investigate further!

We have many hotels near the airport, just check back here before you book to make sure it is in a decent neighborhood. Some areas are better than others. If you need recommendations, just let me know!

Not sure ofp ricing on either of these hotels but you can try the Embassy Suites (305-634-5000) near the airport or Homewood suites (also near the airport on N.W. 7th - 305-261-3335). If these don't work foryou let me know and I'll search a little more.
