My son plays the bari sax. Saturday he participated in a jazz competition and had a couple great solos. He got a new horn for an early graduation present and it made a big difference. His clinician/adjudicator was a gentleman named Mark Colby who also plays sax. One of the band's songs has my son playing fairly high notes on the bari. The clinician told my son he ought to listen to the music on really, really old Disney cartoons (even before Mickey Mouse) with somebody the Tuba. He said the sounds they made the bari play back then were something else. I think he meant the Silly Symphonies. I've done a few quick searches to see if I can find music from the Silly Symphonies but haven't found anything. I thought I'd cut to the chase and ask folks here if they know where to look. Don't let me down. ;)

I am a musician, but I also know how to ask Google questions "just right" :teeth: .
You need to be looking for music from "Tubby the Tuba", it's listed on Amazon.com (looks like it's available now, too).
Here's the URL... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/6303521150/102-8324851-7232110?v=glance&n=404272 . It is *not* a Disney feature, but is instead from Paramount, was directed by George Pal and dates from 1947. "Tubby" is only available in VHS.

hth,
agnes!
