I have not done any digital scrapping...but here is what I want to do. My dd's birthday is coming and we are having it at the zoo. I want to make the invitations with a zoo theme. I would like to just make one online and print them out (not hand-make all of them!).

Soooo, not knowing anything about this and whether it is even possible...can I find a digital paper or background or kit with a zoo theme and use that. And if so, any suggestions on where to find one.

I don't know - maybe there is some other way I should do this. But this is all that is coming to mind right now. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

There are a couple of zoo themed kits on ScrapMatters.com

Most designers have some sort of zoo or animal kit, just plug it into searches in the stores. Here are a couple other cute ones. To make them, just open the size you are wanting in your program (if you aren't sure about this part, please read the Digital Scrapping FAQ, which is a sticky) and then essentially slap on the pieces like you would with paper. Since an invitation is smaller then a regular scrap page, you will probably have to make the embellishments smaller, pretty easy stuff!

I did both my DD's first birthday party invitations and our Xmas cards last year digitally and it's really easy. I made mine tall and skinny so I could fit 3 on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet and then cut them out. One of the paper brands also has 4x8 paper available. And there are a ton of cute zoo kits out there.

These are really cute! How many zoo kits is too many?

Kay Miller has an adorable kit that I used for a baby shower invitation. So cute!

You guys rock :worship: I love all of these...I don't know how I will decide between them. But first I'll have to read the sticky to figure out how to do this.

Do I need special software to do this?

Thanks to all!

If you have Photoshop elements, Picture it, or PaintShop Pro, they will work. There is some free software out there. I can't remember the name of it. Scrapbook Flair, maybe? I think it would probably work for a project like an invitation.
