My 2nd wedding anniversary is coming up in a few months. I want to give my husband something special. I was just wondering what you've gotten in the past that was meaningful to you. :)

First of all, skip the "handy, useful" items. Most men, if they need something handy or useful, will go ahead and buy it, even if they only need it once. Also, it doesn't help to remind us we need to repaint the house if we get a paint sprayer (4th anniversary for me). Get him something frivolous, that he wouldn't normally buy for himself. If he likes playing sports, get a gift certificate for a store specializing in that sport. Likes to read? Get some books. Needs some time off? Book a hotel close to home, and get out for a weekend vacation while staying close. Go for dinner out, and pick up the tab.

Most guys have things they would never do for themselves, because they don't "indulge" themselves; find out what one of hiis things is, and try and get it for him.

P.S. I realize that some guys will just go out and buy any little indulgence they want, any time they want, and spoil themselves. Obviously, they are therefore impossble to shop for, and deserve socks and clean underware. I hope you husband does not fall into that catagory.
