Need help from computer savvy-upgrade prices??

I'm trying to decide whether to venture out on BF for the Toshiba notebook at Best buy.
It has 256 Ram and 40 GB HD. Does anyone know what the cost is to upgrade to 512 Ram and 60 GB HD?

Notebooks are generally not easy to upgrade. Generally you throw out the old parts and put in the new parts.

512 of RAM will cost around $100. The 60 gig drive about $140. (Prices from the Best Buy web site, you can probably get better prices, but be very careful, not all memory and not all hard drives will fit). If you need it installed, the installation will cost you another $100 or so.
