Need HELP from anyone that Loves Strollers esp Maclaren Families :o)

Unbelievable I found an old Maclaren Double Stroller in Great Shape for $5.00!!!!! I have a Stroller Problem, won’t go into all the details however currently we have 6 strollers & have only ever had 2 DDs ages 2 & 4! Back to my dilemma we will be using My New (to me) Maclaren at Disney over Labor Day week, although since it’s so old there are no sun canopies, I have looked all over the internet to see if I could order them, but with no luck, not even on ebay, if anyone has a number I may use to contact Maclaren direct please let me know or any other info/advice would be Greatly Appreciated! Currently my mom & I are going to try and create a homemade version again any info/advice Greatly appreciated!

If you can't find a MacLaren stroller canopy, check out the "One Step Ahead" website. They sell an item called the "Rayshade." The picture on the OSA site shows a single stoller canopy, but they also sell a shade that works for Double SBS strollers. I'm not positive that it will fit your stroller, though.

Oh wow thanks ~ this would be Perfect, however I'm afraid you must already have a canopy to attatch it to? I wonder if we could somehow attach it directly to the stroller frame? Thank You Very Much Again, if anyone has used these please let us know, I will also try calling the Co. tomorrow morning, for their advice.

Yeah, I think you may be right about that...bummer. Do you think that a stroller umbrella shade might work for you?

Edited to add: Eww...Just read the Amazon reviews on the above product. This isn't the best umbrella shade. There might be better ones out there.

I don't have any other ideas, but here's a thought. There's a stroller swap/sell group through Yahoogroups that might be able to help you find an older Mac canopy OR they may be able to give you more ideas. They're a nice group of people who are very knowledgable about strollers. I've gotten a lot of good info from them:

If you can't find an actual canopy I have seen stroller with clip on umbrellas that act as sun/rain protection. You could Google search for stroller umbrellas.

I am a longtime member of the Yahoo Strollerswap group. If you can't get help from the general Maclaren contact info, try Earl at estevens@maclarenbaby.com. He is supposedly the most helpful/knowledgeable Maclaren Customer Service person. I am the owner of not one, but two older Maclaren doubles. I got my first one through the Strollerswap board when I needed a lightweight double for a trip. Then I couldn't resist bidding on one on Ebay that was a local auction so I didn't have to pay shipping. I ended up paying $30-something, which was a steal compared to my first purchase but "expensive" compared to your $5 deal! My $30-something one also did not come with canopies.
