We're heading down next week. My parents (early 70's) and my DS (15). My Dad & I want to try tandem parasailing. I think we'll be very close to the 320lb. limit. Should we both go single?

Also wondering if this is something that you really need reservations for or are the people that do this kinda just waiting around for people to show up? Is it really a popular thing to do?

Thanks!!

If it is something you really want to do I would just go ahead and make the appointment. I am not sure if they have people waiting or not but you might not want to chance it. If you make the weight requirement I dont see why you couldnt go tandeem.

Parasailing is offered all year, but they will close the marinas if it is below 50 and they also won't let you go up if it is too windy. We had to reschedule in Jan. 3 times due to cold/wind - they will call your room to let you know (but if you leave the room at 7 you may not find out until you get there;) ). We ended up going the day we left! So on our last Nov. trip we learned and scheduled it earlier in our trip.

If you can go tandem, I would do it for two reasons. First off, its' fun if you're up in the air with someone so you can talk and enjoy the view. Its kinda lonely and quiet up there by yourself! Also, its a little less to go tandem than it is to pay for two single trips.

Call Sammy Duval's watersports to make reservations. They can be reached at (407)939-0754 and are open until 5 pm. Reservations are highly recommended.
