HI ALL,
We will be leaving on 6/29 to celebrate my daughters sweet 16 in WDW. I would love to have shirts made for 6 of us, (one of us being a XXL). Anyone have any suggestions where to have them done? Internet web or store? trying to do this as inexpensive as possible. Thanks
Dina :confused3

If you want them cheap, you can head over there for sure. I am buying some Mickey tie dyes from a lady on Etsy, but they are $20 each. Worth it to me, because I spent more than that trying to get mine right. You can do a search for Mickey tie dye on Etsy.

You could get them online from Disney store they have ones you can get personalized.
We made some of the tye dye Mickey shirts my 11 yr old loved making them. They are not really hard they are actually really easy. I was soooo afraid I would screw them up as I have never done tye dying. The step by step instructions on here are great.

I just made a shirt for DS this week. It was very simple (and I am SO NOT crafty).
I just purchased the Wilton iron on transfers for dark colored shirts, printed my design and ironed it on.
I kid you not when I say that the entire process took less than 5 minutes.

Go to the Disigners board and use Amy's paper. It is the best and you can make the shirts for very little costs.

Ask nice for a design and so many talented people over there will make a good design for you. Then print it out on Amy's paper and follow the instruction for iron onto the shirts that you can get at Walmart.

I've made all kinds of T's for our trips (iron on transfers, sewn applique, and tie dye). My favorite T's are the tie dye ones! They are super easy, just messy. It's best to do them on a nice day outside. We are planning to do them again this summer for our fall trip. There are 27 of us at our Chef Mickey's ADR, so that's going to be a LOT of T's!!

Here's the link with instructions: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2028914&highlight=mickey+tie+dye+instructions

Have fun!

You also might want to check in at a Sam's Club--or whatever discounter of your choice for plain T-shirts you can have embroidered.

This is a DISer that does tie-dye. She can do any size. I've ordered matching tie-dye Mickey shirts in R/W/B for 4th of July (My bday). Maybe she could do one with a 16? Can't hurt to ask!

This is who I just ordered from. She will do any size, as well as any fit. She is doing women's shirts for me(with the smaller collar and sleeves). I am getting one rainbow Mickey and one with blues and purples. Can't wait to wear them in a few weeks!

I also made shirts with iron-on transfers for our grand gathering in 2008. Sadly, the transfers started to crack after the 3rd or 4th time washing. :guilty:

Definitely go over to the DIS Creative board. They are a lovely bunch! I did 5 days of matching shirt for 7 people in a little over an hour. Make sure you order transfer paper from Amy there because her paper doesn't wrinkle and look terrible after washing like cheap ones you buy at the store.

Be prepared as they have hundreds and hundreds of designs there to personalize. I spent more time picking my designs than actually making the shirts!

Wow thanks so much for the information. I had never heard of Dis Creative Boards...I will check it out....

I also think the Dis Creative boards are the best!!! The best advice and it will be very inexpensive. I have not a creative bone in my body but with their help I have made dozens of t-shirts for our family trips.

I didn't read thru all the responses. First, I bought transfers from amymickey.com. These are awesome and I'm a beginner myself. You don't have to do anything fancy other than print - no reverse image or anything. Then I just found on the Creative Disigns board transfers that I liked. Really it's so easy and inexpensive to do this yourself. Some designers can personalize if you give them enough time.

I agree with Creative Dis board. They were a huge help to me when I made shirts for our 2009 trip. They were so much fun to make. I had to stop because I was planning for shirts than we had time to wear. I even made DH a discreet safari ears for our AK day.

By the way I love those tie dye shirts. Hmm.....maybe for our next trip in 3 years.

I also will suggest the disign board, amymickey transfer paper, and will add Jiffyshirt.com forthe shirts.

I did all that the previous poster did for our last trip and the shirts turned out amazing if I do say so myself. It's simple, quick, and custom just to you. Good luck! You won't be sorry.
