need help for family of 10

new here and need all the help i can get..
i am planning a trip for may 2005.. i know it is a long way off BUT
i am planning it for me, dh, son & daughter
AND brother, sis in law, neice, nephew, mom, brother
And they are leaving almost all of it up to me..
I am getting info from them such as what they want to see & ride while there etc...
I plan on going the end of may.... how is the weather ( heat and rain)???
We went in sept 2000 and rented 2 all stars and that worked out well for us
I am trying to get them motivated by making a "disney count down calendar" with old pictures on it

since it is mostly up to me I REALLY NEED ADVICE on anything that will help me out
here are the ages
adults: me, dh, mom, brother, sil, brother
kids: 15, 11, 6, 23months

I did the planning for our trip last August. There were 15 of us. I would send them updates periodically. I created a binder for each family. I included itineraries, pictures of our resort, the parks, etc. I also included maps. I suggest buying a daily planner type-thing. This way you can keep all of your PS confirmation #'s, airlines, car rentals, all in one place. I used the Deluxe Passporter and highly recommend it! I want to suggest that you plan not to be with everyone 24-7. Make sure each family has some alone time every day! Have fun planning.

I planned our last WDW vacation for 8 - my family, my mom, & my DB's family. It was great fun & everyone had a blast. I'm getting ready to plan our next one for June 2005 - this time there will be 9. I would highly recommend using DreamsUnlimited . They don't charge for their service, keep a look out for the best deals, coded. etc., & they customize a daily itinery for you based on your families likes/dislikes, the ages of the group members, & probably other stuff that I've forgotten. They were absolutely wonderful!!! We will be using them again for our upcoming trip.

Another great resource I've found is Tour Guide Mike ~ http://tourguidemike.com. You do have to pay for the service (I think around $20). Lots of great articles, trip planning advice, etc. I learned about this from wwww.MouseSavers.com ~ a great site for getting codes, ticket & hotel price info., etc.

Of course, the best resource for me has been these DIS boards. If you have specific questions, just post them & I'm sure you'll get lots of info. from lots of really wonderful people.

I'm planning a trip for this August for 18! You can go through Magical Gatherings if you have 8 or more people. You may want to look into this for dining etc. since it's hard to seat large groups of people. I have found these boards invaluable! Keep posting and asking questions, there's lots of friendly people here willing to help! Welcome to the Dis!

wOW, That sounds like a fun time! Enjoy the planning, it can be fun, especially since you're starting early. I'm also planning our first trip and am determined to do it as economically as possible!!! This sit is a great help, as is mousesavers.com. Another essential tool is Fodor's Unofficial Guide-it has great reviews of resorts, parks, etc. Even has layouts of the rooms and details about weather, etc. I checked it out of the library (they have ton's of books on Disney) but eventually bought this one for myself.
