Hello All! I have early morning, 8AM breakfast reservations @ Kona Cafe for our upcoming August trip. We will be staying at the Beach Club. That will also be our water park/Typhoon Lagoon day which opens at 10AM. I'm looking for suggestions on travel plans to the Kona Cafe/Polynesian Resort from the Beach Club to arrive before 8AM. Then the best way to get from the Poly to Typhoon Lagoon after our breakfast. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

BTW: I will have my car since we are driving to Disney World but I really never use it once I arrive on Disney property. I'd like to rely on Disney transportation but may decide differently based on suggestions just for this one day.

Thanks for your time!

We also did breakfast at a resort restaurant on our waterpark day. Based on recommendations from a friend about length of time it takes to go from bus to bus, and about liking having their car after the waterpark, we just took the car that day. If you do, make sure you have your reservation number and the drivers license of the person whose name is on the ADR, and you will be allowed to park for free at the resort.

I think it would be the most easy, quick and comfortable way if you just took your own car.

Thanks for the feedback! Does anyone know how much it would cost to park at Typhoon Lagoon? Sounds like parking at the Poly would be free...

There is also the option to use the new "Minnie Vans" to get to the Polynesian. They are currently serving BWI, BC & YC (or soon will be). I believe that costs $20. You would still have to find transport to Typhoon Lagoon from the Poly

If you stick purely to Disney busses, it's a bit of a complex web you'd have to take:

To get to Poly/Kona from BC:
- Bus from BC to MK
- Monorail or boat to Poly
(Note, that early you risk potentially not having either monorail or boat option to get from MK to Poly. You'll have to check the Times Guide for the week you are there to know if this is possible on the monorail. Here's a handy link if needed: http://www.orlandoparksnews.com/p/weekly-walt-disney-world-times-guides.html

From Poly to TL:
- Have to take the bus from Poly to DS, then transfer to another bus from DS to TL (this setup kind of stinks, FWIW)

It's the same process going home, just in reverse... you'd take a bus from TL to DS, then get on another bus from DS to BC

If this were me, I'd taxi/uber on at least one or more of the legs above.

Hope that helps, good luck!

We did Uber to the Polly for our breakfast. I would do the same to TL. Has the Minnie Van priced been released. I was wondering about the 20.00 fee and if that will be standard one way fare? We use Uber a lot and while the new vans are quite appealing, most of our on site Uber trips were 6-7.00. That's a huge difference. Wondering if they will be banded now on WDW property?
