Need help for 50th anniversary

I'm working on a photo board for my IL's 50th wedding anniversary party on Sunday. It's kind of a cross between a photo montage & a giant 2 page scrapbook LO.

I'm finally done with the pix, but I'll have enough room for something matted - at least a 8x10 area - and I'm out of pix.

I thought about some kind of journaling about their courtship and wedding, but I don't know any of the stories...and, even weirder, neither does DH or his siblings. So I thought maybe a poem would be nice, but I haven't been able to find one yet. Does anyone have any ideas?

If you know of any nice phrases or short poems, I could use some of those, too. DH asked me to put together a PowerPoint presentation with the pictures for those who don't want to stand around the photo display. I've added a few descriptive phrases to break up the slides, but could really use a few more ideas.

I'm so tired of this project! I can't wait until Sunday!

One of my very favorite scriptures is one about "Love". It's I Corinthians 13. I love the whole chapter, but my favorite verses start at 4 and go through verse 13. "Love is very patient and kind....".

Could you possibly use something like that for this? A 50 year anniversary is such a great achievement, and what a cause for a celebration!

I helped my friend make an anniversary scrapbook for her grandparent's 60th anniversary a couple of years ago and we included a "Then and Now" page that listed what things cost (house, car, stamps, gasoline, loaf of bread etc...) top movies, music, who was president, etc... They really enjoyed reminiscing over all the things that have changed since then.

Does anyone know of a site to use for the Then & Now stuff that ymmy72 suggested?

I think I can work some of each of these into the display & slide show. And the best part is - then I won't have to make a decision!

On the dmarie site, after you click on the inpiration tab, click on dmarie time capsule. Put in your date and click on the quick page tab, that will give you prices of things, headlines from that week, popular tv shows etc.
