Hi there villa2000.com is a great site for what you need. I have used it last year and this and has Villa,s for all areas around Florida. I personally like staying in Indian Creek in Kissimmie as its only 5 min drive into Disney through a back road route.
We are going in May (cant wait)

Regards

Darren

There are many rental sites to chose from, some are based primarily for US guests and others for UK guests, but you'll find a definite overlap of homes being on numerous sites.

As well as villas2000 mentioned in an earlier post you can also check out:-

www.vr360homes.co.uk
www.vrbo.com
www.lastminutevillas.net
www.holiday-rentals.co.uk

Everyone will have there own opinion on the best areas, and its a pretty emotive topic on most forums. I think the main areas are:-

Formosa Gardens Area
Champions Gate Area
Poinciana Blvd Area
Highway 27 corridor

Once you've attempting to select an area, then there will be numerous communities within these areas.

Have fun chosing a villa, and I'm sure there will be plenty of other responses giving their opinions on the best areas.

Given the poor exchange rate and the unlikely chance of a full on recovery I would choose a site that caters for British guests and charges in £'s then you will know the price you are paying and it won't sudenly change due to the exchange rate.

I found this map really useful when looking for a villa as you can then determine whether its where u would like to be
http://www.thedibb.co.uk/villa-map.php

Also on www.thedibb.co.uk are loads of british ownwd homes and we found a fab deal off there.
Also barter a bit with the owner on price we got free pool heat by being a bit cheeky !! The worst that can happen is the owner says no !!

There are so many sites to choose from for villas.

We also found theDIBB a very useful site for planning the overall holiday and there is a separate villa owners area.

We chose BellaVida as it is a new resort and got a lovely 6 bed villa.

The key is to find a resort(s) you like based on loaction and facilities - then have a look for the right villa.

We drew up a list of things we wanted - well worth doing. We know friends who ended up in a great villa but had a North facing pool area - they had to sit outside the front of the villa to get a tan!

Hi

I have booked my villa from villatorent.co.uk.

I think it was someone on here that suggested it to me ages ago???

Not a huge number of villas but all look fabulous and are in great locations.

We have gone for one in Emerald Island. The owner was really great to deal with and didn't mind how many times I asked for different quotes for different properties :rotfl:

We aren't going until next year but so far the process has been really easy! Best bit is we booked in sterling so we know what we are paying!

Hope this helps...

Hi Michelle

Philip is a great guy, we rented from him back in Dec 2005, and had no problems at all.

Emerald Island is a great location for a villa.

Its nice to see some positive feedback :rotfl:

We are not going until the end of next year so a bit of a wait but I am hard at working planning already!

Looked at the site you mention, but I only saw one villa and that wasn't on Emerald Island :confused3

We have just booked this villa www.citrusretreat.com which is on Orange tree off the 27. we used to own there and loved it. Location is fab. The owners of CR have been hugely helpful and ultra friendly. They are going out there themselves in April and adding a hot tub (which was an essential for my husband!) and extra bits and pieces!

Found them through: www.perfectfloridavillas.com
