Need help fast w/ DS b-day cake

In a few days we are going to see "Eight Below" for my son's 9th b-day & I need ideas for decorating his cake. I planned to make an igloo but in case that flops (literally) I need some other ideas. I wish I could find some little plastic husky dogs. Let me hear your ideas...I know you can inspire me! Thanks!

A mound of icing with toothpick (marks) for ice blocks, or Sugar cubes and stick it together with icing? Just wondering.......good luck!

can you make an igloo out of sugar cubes?? I would frost them together off the cake..use Royal Icing..it is like cement!

for the igloo - can you get ahold of the "doll's skirt" pan?

it's just a big dome...and then you can embellish with frosting with "cut in" blocks...or the sugar cubes.

(I actually woudl just do the 'entrance' to the igloo with sugar cubes..and then "cut in" a cube like shape in the frosting.)
