I am calling this morning to try and make a HHI reservation. Last night they had both one and two bedrooms available. We are a family of four.

If I do the one bedroom- what would you request? The views from the main building look very nice but it seems so far away from the pool area. Are there any one bedrooms around the pool area??

Or would it be better just to get a two bedroom (other than a few more points) so we may have a better room location.

Any help is appreciated.

The resort is small and easily walkable. You can get from the pool to check in in around 5 minutes. It's up to your preference. Do you want to look at the pool or the marsh? We've had both views and don't know what we'll request for our June 09 stay ( they were both great!)

Two bedrooms are a great deal for not too many more points. Also you will have more to pick from when you check in. The problem is that once you upgrade to a two bedroom it is hard to go back to a one bedroom.

:goodvibes

In addition to the 1 BRs in the lodge, there are 5 1 BRs (one each) on the first floors of buildings 16, 18, 19, 28, and either 30 or 31 (I can't remember which). We loved our view from the Villa in 18, and it's not far from the pool. Neither is 28 far from the pool, but we weren't enthralled with the view there.

Just so you know, the 5 one bedrooms that are not in the Lodge are all situated under GVs. Some people have reported that they can get very noisy from the traffic above you on the hardwood floors. Just something to consider.

We ended up booking a one bedroom in order to save points for 2010. I am hoping it is ok. We may have friends going along and she will need a two bedroom so I am hoping she calls this morning and grabs one! (Hope you are reading this E!)

So I guess I should ask to be in the main building and not in one of the outer buildings. :confused3 If you are under the Grand Villa I take it you are on the first floor??

Don't worry about location; the resort is pretty small and easily walkable from one end to the other. No building is too far from the pool. In fact, it is always so pleasant to walk around that a longer stroll might be nicer. Our DD6 loves riding her bike all around that resort.

When are you going?

Yes, all the 1 BRs that aren't in the main building are on the first floor. And as a PP said, you can hear quite a lot from footsteps above.

Just so you know 1st floor are really up a flight of stairs, nothing is ground level.

We leave August 15th!! I just cannot wait.:cool1:

We are here now in a 2 BR in Bldg 15 and have not heard any noise from above. Luckily, I think the villa above us must be vacant. Not complaining at all.

I would get a two bedroom for four if you have the points.
