Planning on hitting parks early and then coming back to pofq around lunch to nap or swim, then go eat and then head back into park, except for wc.Just had to book that one, sounded like to much fun!

My questions are:

Am I missing something I should take the kids to?

Would you change any adrs?

My dw (wife i hope) doesnt think epcott would be as fun, so she wants to skip it :(

This is our first trip!!
Thanks in advance

Excellent strategy for the summer months. Don't push the kids too hard or you'll get a real meltdown. Also, take into account that all of the parks, and especially MK, have a LOT of stimulation for little kids.

I like your ADRs. You've got three of our very favorite character meals in there, and the kids will love them. Don't be too surprised if DD4 is a little panicky at Chef Mickey's at first. There's a lot of noise and action, and it can be a little intimidating for a little kid. Our DD was initially scared until Chip & Dale stole her heart. By the end of the meal, she was dancing in the aisles with Minnie. 1900 and CP will be much less threatening than Chef Mickey's.

Can't tell you about WCC vs. Boma, because we've never done either (doing WCC next week). Both have major fan clubs from what I've seen.

With all due respect, I think the wonderful woman is wrong. Epcot is way cool, and there are some seriously fun things for kids that age. "Turtle Talk with Crush" at the Living Seas is a must -- absolutely hilarious and the kids will love it. There are also a lot of very cool things to do in Imagination. The downside for Epcot (I think) is you will be there during Food & Wine, and that's not the best time of the year for kids.

This is our first trip!!
Have a great trip, and DON'T take the DVC tour!:rotfl2:

you collect little hang tags at each station and they have a little craft, stickers, etc. It's free and fun for this age. Also, I recommend getting trading pins (we bought ours on ebay for $25 for deluxe lanyard (retails at disney for $59) with 8 pins, and $12 for princess one with 4 pins-retails for $29). All the Cast members have them and the kids can trade with disney employees all day long. It's very fun. We did it this year and they loved it. If you go in a few years, they can take them again and trade for pins more in their age range at that time. Also, we had no asking for other souvenirs the entire trip from our kids.
Both WC and Bomas are good--Boma's is African-inspired, plus regular "American" kids stuff. I LOVED Bomas, esp. for the cumin-rubbed flank steak and interesting salads.

Timeshare--one of the better ones, if you have $30K+ laying around.

Not sure, but I believe the pin trading is all over the World.

Your ADRs sound great. As for skipping Epcot, DON'T SKIP EPCOT!!!! :scared: Used to be our very favorite, now it's second only to the Magic Kingdom. Hard to see everything in Epcot in one day though. We like to allot 2 days for Epcot. If you DO end up going there, I'd highly reccommend Coral Reef for dinner. We liked the food alot and the atmosphere there is wonderful there, even if you don't sit right next to the tanks. The kids will love it! We will definitely do that one again.

You're going to have so much fun on your first trip!!! Best wishes!!!:):goodvibes

We booked the dining plan and now can't decide where to eat.
Tentative arrangements include:
Sci-Fi
Concourse
for lunch
Spoodles
Les Chefs
Nine Dragons..but I think it may be down for refurb
Mitsukoshi
Ohana
dinners
it's just the 3 of us, me DH and DD (17) so we aren't doing character (just did Akershus in March)..anyhow DH and DD want to stick close to the parks and they don't want to "dress" for meals. Any help or suggestions will be so very much appreciated!!!
TIA

You can't skip EPCOT! There is sooo much to do and great for the kids. Mine are 11,9,7, and 3 and love EPCOT. Soarin' could be one of the top three rides at WDW and Turtle Talk is really cool. The world showcae is great and mine love to try foods from each country. No reason you couldn't do it for a half day and then go somewhere else if you are not satisfied. Another key place is Askerhaus, the Norway reataurant. They have a fantastic character breakfast with the storybook princesses that your daughter would love. Plus the food is super.

Please do not dismiss EPCOT. You will be missing a great park and awesome fireworks display.

I did change wc for bona and got a much better time, 7:20 to 5:00!
I also booked coral reef for thursday for OUR EPCOT DAY!
if anybody reads this I did put my foot down about epcot, if my wife reads this I'm just joking!!

Hope my new signature works!

Please tell me what you think of the changes. It would help me out alot!

Good call on the EPCOT day. You will really be glad. I too have had to put my foot down on a few things, but I can only do that when she lets me.

I am sorry that you had to cancel Whispering Canyon. It is a very entertaining place to eat and the food is great too!

PS, I think that it is Boma, the other must be at "pleasure island."

DO NOT SKIP EPCOT!!! It is our favorite park. we have actually done weekend trips with just Epcot.
