We are planning a year of Disney for 2015. I already have January and June booked and I am trying to decide about March 30-April 2 or 3rd. April 2nd is the beginning of spring break for my kids. They would be missing 3 days total with travel time. I see on the blockout calendar that March 28-29 is blocked but I can't figure out what is happening that weekend. Does anyone know? I am a little worried about having two trips back to back where there is a large potential for refurbs. I'm just wondering if this would be a good time to go or if it would just be better to hold off and just do the June trip. I am really hoping to get a total of at least 5 if not 6 trips in during 2015. If we are getting the passes I want to use them as much as possible. It will likely by 4 years before we go again.

It's probably blocked out because that is the beginning of the easter crowds. The following weekend is easter, plus being spring break, i would anticipate big crowds. I would stick with June since summer festivities and 60th anniversary events will be in full swing.

So is the week preceding Easter generally overly busy? I'm not really looking for a 'slow time' because I don't think those really exist at Disneyland anymore. We've been when we have overlapped the Choc Walk and the Tink marathon. I guess I am wondering if it will be busy like a marathon day or just normal busy. Any other opinions?

Yes, the week before and after Easter are the busiest spring break weeks (unless Easter falls unusually early or late). 2015 Easter falls right in the middle, so expect large crowds. On the positive side, expect long opening hours and a full boat of entertainment.
