Need Help Deciding on Dates!

Hello!

Due to a death in the family, I had to reschedule our upcoming trip to Disney. I rebooked for Dec 13-21, but then realized that this week falls directly on finals week for the fall semester. Oops!!!

So here's my dilemma. I'm trying to decide between October or earlier in December now. October would be my birthday, plus Halloween (which is my favorite holiday), but December looks so pretty with the holiday decorations, plus my DS wants to go in December. But I don't want to miss class too close to finals. GAAAAAA!!! Should I overrule DS (since I am the mommy and if momma ain't happy, no one's happy) or go with earlier in December?

I guess what I'm asking for is things like park crowds and weather...DH does not particularly like cold weather. Any thoughts from DISers more knowledgeable than I?

The week after Thanksgiving. Well, actually we're planning on leaving either the Weds before or on Thanksgiving day and staying for the whole next week. For us, that's the PERFECT week to be at Disney. Thanksgiving is late this year, so that will end up being the first week in December. All of the lights are up for Christmas, and we're all big Christmas lights fans. We did go last year around Halloween, and it was great (Disney always is), but if we have to choose again, we'll always choose December.

Take a look at the crowd numbers; that may influence your decision. But I can see hesitating about missing classes before finals.
