heylo all, im trying to decide which resort of these would be the best:

wilderness lodge
dolphin or swan
coronado springs resort

which is the nicest of those? im only going to magic kingdom so i need one that i can get to mk easily

and does anyone have pictures of the actual guest rooms in those resorts or any others? im so picky and afraid im going to get to the room in the resort and find out i hate it and wasted $200 something on it lol :(

tia! :)

You can't compare a deluxe to a moderate but if you end up choosing a mod, definitely CSR. My DW and I love this resort. CSR is the only mod to have a spa, salon and gym (free for guests). No shared transportation like POR/POFQ and fewer stops than CBR

ahh that resort looks beautiful!

what are the obvious benefits of choosing a deluxe over a moderate resort?
is it really worth the $100 extra a night?

Deluxe resorts have interior corridors, some are on the monorail, queen beds, bigger rooms, concierge levels.

CSR does have some amenities that are offered at a deluxe because it is a convention resort. A spa, salon and gym, wifi, high speed internet.

Worth a hundred more a night is up to the spender.

does the wilderness lodge have a gym and spa and everything like the coronado springs?

WL - Ameneties:
Teton Boat and Bike Rentals is open from 8am to 5pm for Bikes and 10am to 5pm for Boats.

Arcade - located near the Mercantile store

Specialty Cruise with driver - $112.67 (Call 1-407-WDW-PLAY for details)

Guided Bass Fishing Excursion - Prices begin at $162.01 for two hours

Kids Fishing Around the World - Ages 6-12: $28.16 per child for one hour

Surrey Bike - 2 seater: $16.90/30 minutes; 4 seater $20.65/30 minutes

The WL has the Cub's Den for children, a supervised dining and western-themed entertainment club for children. It is open from 5:00pm to midnight. Entertainment includes Video Games, Storytelling, Arts and Craft and Disney Movies. Children accepted are ages 4-12.

The Wilderness Lodge Flag Family of the day gets to climb up to the roof of the Wilderness Lodge and assist with raising the flags for the day.

"Wonders of the Lodge" tour is offered at 9 am on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. This tour is about the architecture and how the Lodge was built, takes you outside, talks about landscaping, and then goes back inside and talks about the artwork like the metal work and the Totem Poles and the paintings.

Electric Water Pageant - Go to the boat dock in the evening at approximately 9:35 PM (check with Guest Services for exact times). You'll be treated to the delightful Electric Water Pageant which makes its way across Bay Lake nightly.

The 120' Geyser spouts every hour on the hour from 7:00 am to 10:00 PM Walk from the lodge to the back of the pool and there is a walkway to Watch the Geyser. Be sure to look for the rainbow which sometimes joins the show.

Ask at the Front Desk for the Hidden Mickey Hunt List.

Of the hotels you listed, I think Swan/Dolphin is the nicest. Since you are only going to the MK though, WL would make more sense. You might be able to get a standard wing room at the Contemporary for just a little more money. I would highly recommend that. The rooms are huge, and it's a short walk to MK. Plus you have the monorail and very nice restaurants.

The Wilderness Lodge has so much character. While it's not on the monorail, it's still convenient to the MK. We love it there!. I've heard pretty mixed reviews about CSR. Most complaints have been about the food court area. We ate there once and have never gone back. It was basically serve yourself but they still added gratuity.

The WL has three different places to eat, the snack area which is good, Whispering Canyon Cafe which is noisy and fun, and Artists Pointe (forgive spelling please) which is more upscale. Out of the three you mentioned and for the MK I would definately choose the WL.

buzz2001, maybe i skipped over them by accident but do you by any chance have pictures of the coronado springs gym/spa area?

Wilderness Lodge!!

I haven't stayed at Swan or Dolphin. But I've been in them. They're kind of weird.

CSR is nice, but WL is nicer.

My vote is for the WL. Great theming, beautiful resort and I love the boat to the MK.

I vote for Wilderness Lodge because you mentioned wanting to be close to MK--the WL is only a short boat ride away. The theming is spectacular--it is truly an exceptional resort :paw: :dog2:

Your decision should be based on which park is your favorite. Me and the Mrs. enjoy Epcot so if money is not an issue the Swan/Dolphin would be my selection. I have stayed at the Swan once....nothing to write home about but location, location, location...short walk to the back end of Epcot..great to watch Illuminations and have a leisurely walk in the opposite direction of the crowds. Love to stop by ESPN for a nightcap and the boat ride to MGM is super convenient. I agree the Wilderness Lodge theming is outstanding and convenient to MK and although I never stayed at Coronado Springs, we walked around the grounds and was impressed. Tough decision but which ever one you decide on, you can't go wrong. Have a great time! Good Luck!

On my website below, there are a few pics of the spa and gym under the CASITA section.

We've stayed at both WL and CSR, and you can't go wrong with either! The were both our favorites :goodvibes Check out Buzz's website for CSR info, I think he has the most comprehensive website on any WDW resort on the web! It sold us, and after staying at WL once, we thought we might be a little disappointed, but we weren't. The kids loved to pool, and I loved the theming. Mind you, we are still WL fans.

Our next vacation? Depends on our budget, but we'd love to do a split between CSR and WL. But if the budget won't allow for WL, we won't be disappointed spending the whole trip at CSR.

Good luck! ;)
