need help deciding- BA or VA ?

Sorry Kristina i can't really answer your question as i have only ever flown Virgin and know no different.
But i would like to know-do you have to pay extra's with BA-seating together, food, drinks etc..also if you don't take the car do you get free transfers to+from the airport?.Thanks.x.

No you dont - BA is full service like Virgin. You can only pick seats 24 hours before though when you check in online.

Oh that's good to hear, apart from the seat bit.Maybe BA are worth me considering for next time :confused3,if the price is right.
Ok silly question-who flys BA-as in what brochure-does that make sense?.x.

You can book BA via BA holidays and I think Thomas Cook sig do too - but most flights are booked DIY - and would work out much cheaper that way. BA holidays are very expensive (like virgin holidays). I flew BA last year and they were great - wouldnt hesitate to book again, I would just go with whoever is cheaper. Were flying virgin this year but only because they came out a bit cheaper :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info :thumbsup2,i have only ever done package with Virgin-scared of DIY ,would'nt know where to start. Thanks again.x.

I've been happy with both of them (but I don't use economy on either). The one thing that makes me prefer BA is the poor punctuality of Virgin. I suffered with this a few times last year.

I just checked on the most recent performances from 15 Feb to 15 April on the LGW to MCO route:

BA 2037: 89% on time
VS 27: 47% on time
VS 15: 70% on time

You could be unlucky on either, but it's more likely on Virgin alas.
